Great meeting place between Atl and Chatt.

I wanted to play a round of golf with my brother before he left town and he lives near Chattanooga and I live in West Atlanta area so we were looking for a great value and course to meet. Really enjoyed this layout and round. Very playable for the middle handicap with enough challenge for the low handicap. We played the tips and it was very playable and in great shape. Yardage markets were a little different since most use the white for 150 and they have a yellow so pay attention to that when you start or just rely on your range finder. Greens very true and course in really good condition! Plenty of water coolers around the course which was really important to us playing in July with high heat. Would definitely reccomend this Calhoun area gem!

Greens were the best part

Played DL on a very cold day in November and had played a couple of times before. This was by far the worst shape the fairways and tee boxes had been with a lot of times not having any grass to hit off of even in the middle of the fairway. The greens were still in pretty good shape and ran true. I love the layout of this course and there are definitely some very pretty holes, and some very challenging holes. I hope to go back and play this spring and would imagine it to be one of the best values around if they can get their grass back.

Will be awesome when Greens heal up

Played this course multiple times and it is in good shape and has a challenge for every level of golfer. The greens had recently been punched so putting was difficult to say the least but will be very nice in about 7-10 days when they are healed up.

Great track with some beautiful holes

Played this course with a fellow PGA teaching pro friend and it was the first time either of us had played it. We were playing from the back tees and really enjoyed the layout and specifically enjoyed the water holes as they were very pretty holes to play. Two par threes had water in play for us from the back and the par 4 5th hole I think along the water was one of the best looking holes we have played. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Bunkers seemed to need some attention in some spots as you had clumps of weeds in a few we saw but overall a great experience and a joy to play. We had a yard book we bought from the pro shop and glad we did that since the course wasn't marked extremely well for distance. Put it in your GPS if you have one and it will save you some time.

Needs to dry out, holds water and is very messy

I would recommend this course to a friend but not for about a month. The while course is wet and being torn up right now. They don't have cart paths so there are going to be deep mud tracks from the carts everywhere on the course. I had trouble finding a couple of balls in the middle of the fairway bc they were completely plugged and you would literally sink into the ground just trying to walk to balls in the fairway! Rough was worse than the fairway in this regard and most bunkers were under water. I wouldn't have had the place open if I was making the decisions for the course because the damage being done by carts is going to take a good amount of time to recover from. Greens ran amazingly well and fast considering the condition of the rest of the course so you could play them without issue but it was tough to play a hole without getting muddy.
I really think I would have enjoyed the layout and it would be a good track if it wasn't for all of the water but I wouldn't play it until it has had a good solid week to dry out. You would still have ruts everywhere to deal with but you at least wouldn't be worried about sinking in and ruining your shoes!

Good course to practice on. It has some maintenance issues.

I have played St. Andrews a few times and really enjoy it when I can play quickly. Depending on who is there you can get really good service and the greens are in great shape. some areas around the green are pretty rough and make it difficult to feel like you can hit certain chip shots. Areas of the fairway are so hard you feel like you are hitting off hardpan. Overall, the course for the price is a good value.
