It's been years since I last played Southland. The overall course conditions have improved significantly compared to my previous experiences. I look forward to playing it again when the waether warms up a bit!

It's been awaile since I played this course. I was immediately impressed with the overall improvements. We anticipated a busy round because the weather and the scenery was beautiful! So we limited the joke telling until after we teed off and finished putting. We will definitely return soon.

Upon arrival at 8:30a the men's bathroom was filthy. I was the only person in the entire clubhouse wearing a facemask. I usually bring Clorox wipes but soon realized that the carts had not been cleaned from the previous days use! For obvious reasons my foursome requested and were willing to pay extra for individual carts. The staff adamantly refused and gave me a refund.
I play weekly at several courses in the Atlanta area and this was the first time I felt fearful of Covid 19 infection! This course was actually cleaner when I played here last year!!

Fortunately I played with a low handicapper regular customer that was very pleased with the overall conditions and a couple of newbies enjoying for the 1st time this somewhat challenging course. Lots of laughs! I was thoroughly impressed with the speed of the greens particularly at this time of year. My concerns about the safety of the tunnel between 10, 11, 17 and 18 were relieved when I saw the addition of speed bumps on both sides. However, directional arrows and a lane marker should be painted on the pathway to avoid the cart collision that I experienced in June.

Echelon is indeed one of the best conditioned and most challenging courses in the ATL! However, our foursome all agreed that some safety improvements are necessary in and around the tunnel between holes 10, 11, 17 and 18. As I was gradually turning left into the tunnel from 17 another cart quickly emerged. The impact threw me off the cart on to the concrete path. Also, the front axle of the opposing cart broke. The gentleman working the clubhouse front desk seemed more concerned about cart damage than my injuries! I'm going to have my knee and lower leg examined tomorrow.

Each hole was framed beautifully enjoyed the overall layout. No blind shots. If you play conservatively you have excellent opportunities to score. Aggressive play requires length off the tee to cut around the doglegs and well maintained bunkers. Definitely worth the commute from the ATL. Looking forward to our return.

We had a fun but challenging round. Overall course conditions were good. Greens were exceptional. Crews did a great job cleaning debris from the recent tropical storm. Bunkers were okay. Strategy is required to find safe ball placement areas but good scoring is possible if you play from the appropriate tees.

Very pleased with the course improvements over the years. Looking forward to our next opportunity to play. Accurate tee shots from the back tees are necessary to score particularly on the tight par 5 5th hole. The greens and bunkers were in good shape despite the recent heavy rains.

Very pleased with the overall conditioning improvements over the years! Maintenance workers were courteous and kept out of the way of the players. Our group was pleased with the quality of the greens, bunkers and the somewhat challenging course design. The only gripe was the limited layup area on the par 5 16th hole.

This course is a gem! So glad that my buddy asked me to play this well conditioned layout. Greens and bunkers were particularly nice. Beware, the finishing holes 16,17 and 18 are difficult. It's definitely worth the drive from the ATL.

Truly a championship facility. I tried to find something to complain about but could not. Fortunately we got some good advice from the starter that helped get through the round. The course layout is challenging but allows shot placements that give you a chance to score if you play from the appropriate tees.

I have occasionally played this course for years and I must admit that my last two rounds were impressive. Particularly the greens. The overall course conditions are the best ever despite the rainy weather. The clubhouse is well maintained also.

Challenging course design for all levels of play. Our experienced foursome thoroughly appreciated the course and clubhouse improvements by the new management. Despite the difficult summer heat, the greens should return to top shape in a couple of weeks.

Had a very pleasant round despite the cool weather. Course was in great shape! We were particularly pleased with the recent bunker improvements.

We have played this course for years and found it to be an exceptional value, well conditioned and courteous staff. The course drains nicely after it rains and the greens are in good shape. The bunkers have been steadily improving but a few should be designated as 'ground under repair'.

Very pleased with the service and course improvements so far. Clubhouse and course employees were courteous and helpful. Many of the bunkers are still being renovated but the new greens were a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to bringing my friends out soon.

This remains one of my favorite courses. Beautiful lakeside vistas and a variety of tees to play. Each hole has unique challenges but thankfully there are no blind shots. My playing partners all agreed that the course conditions were exceptional for this time of year.
