Alyth Golf Club
Played On 04/15/2022Really good course and very good value
An excellent facility and good golf course with variety of holes and some quirky design.
I played in april and course was in really good shape for the time of year
Would definitely return.
Peterhead Golf Club - The Old Course
Played On 09/06/2021Some stunning holes!
After a pretty underwhelming start, the course really takes shape as the front 9 progresses.
The stretch from 6-10, and then 15-18 are superb!
Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2021In very good shape! Value!
Very good value for money. Course in very good shape for this time of year. Impressed.
Westhill Golf Club
Played On 08/19/2020Decent course. Greens could be better.
Course was overall in good shape. Tidy.
Greens weren’t great though.
Feels like at one time was a prosperous club which has fallen a little from its glory days.
Enjoyable day and fun had.
Grand Cypress - North/South
Played On 02/01/2019Good layout and enjoyable round. Service chaotic.
Played here with a hot deal. Upon arrival very impressed with bag drop, but entering golf shop it felt chaotic. Check in was easy, but was left a little to fend for myself.
Went to bag drop and had to stand there until eventually I flagged a staff member to help. Again chaotic.
The starter was a shambles! Hadn’t a clue what was happening, then chased us down the first for a “cart issue”. Made us feel very unwelcome and think he forgot who was PAYING to play!
Issues aside, Course was in good condition and played the north and south layouts. Good resort course with some tricky holes, especially on south course.
Would play here again, but feel the service recurved wasn’t to the standard I would have expected for $70.
Aboyne Golf Club
Played On 05/07/2018Very nice and some excellent holes
Very nice and picturesque course in royal deeside. Some lovely holes and good variety.
Would thoroughly recommend!
Kemnay Golf Club
Played On 04/26/2018Good layout and good condition for April
Played here in April and thought course was in great shape for time of year.
Kemnay has a great layout. Challenging but fair, and suits all types of golfer.
Only small grip is that clubhouse weren't welcoming to be honest. We weren't able to eat as "Chef finishes at half 2". We asked at 2.20!
Wouldn't put me off playing here again, but just felt visitors maybe weren't given the same priority.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - International
Played On 04/19/2016Very good course in good condition
Played on my own late afternoon. Course layout great, and although in the shadow of the Omni resort you feel quite remote at times.
Course in very good condition overall.
Staff weren't great and had to carry my own bag to cart staff and back, and to be honest didn't feel like a paying customer. Pity.
Good layout. Great resort. Would play again.
Omni Amelia Island Resort - Oak Marsh
Played On 10/08/2015Super golf course, but mother nature took its toll!
Firstly, i must say this review is of this particular experience, and maybe does not reflect the course all year round.
The course itself design-wise is fantastic. Played of the tips at 6,600 yards and thought at most places that this course design is based around placement. Wonderful design that does not allow just a "grip and rip it" mentality.
The course condition was mediocre at best. The recent wet weather had really taken its toll, and i lost 2 balls in fairways by plugging in "bogs". The greens were slow and being kept high. The main landing areas and surrounds etc were in good condition, and the tees great.
Pace of play was slow, with a fourball in front of us thinking they were playing the US Open. The Ranger spoke to them and after 13 holes did speed up.
Clubhouse is nice, but if you are not staying at the resort then there are no real facilities.
Overall, great track, condition could be better, and would be annoyed if paid a full rack rate green fee. The course is not fully at its best or playable.
Overall not sure i would go back based on today, but the course design may lure me back!
Hammock Beach Resort - The Conservatory Course
Played On 10/06/2015What. A. Place!
From beginning to end, great golfing experience.
Course is absolutely fantastic! Design, condition, challenge...the best I have played in Florida!
Clubhouse is spectacular. Place is quiet, secluded and feels like a private club.
If i could play here for 2 weeks on vacation i could. Top marks from me.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 10/03/2015Pleasant break from resort courses!
Having read great things we made the trip to Mission Inn. It is a little off the beaten trail, and is a little isolated from the vacation centre of Orlando.
The place feels like a golf club, and not a resort. This is no bad thing, and in all honesty i think it enjoys this real portrayal of golf. From the history and heritage signs, to the tournament scoreboards with the NCAA emblazoned on it, this feels very real.
The course itself is a fantastic layout, and feels like a real golf course with a natural feel. The condition is good but is a little rough round the edges. The elevation changes are so un-Florida like but so refreshing. The design and undulations etc, are really something and feels like a US Open type course.
This place reminded me very much of world woods. A fantastic layout, a "real" golf course, and in many ways delighted that it doesn't have tourist signs everywhere.
My father commented that this place would be a gold mine commercially if a big brand bought the course and adjoining resort, but this would spoil the whole experience.
Great track, excellent greens, and just maybe lacked in the service department but overall i would return happily!
Reunion Resort - Watson Course
Played On 10/02/2015Condition and service worth the price!
As a resort course, you have to be a member or guest of the resort to play, but it really is worth it.
Mr Watson loves a bunker as other reviewers said, with around 120 in play. What i love though is that they are not a gimmick, and are positioned perfectly in terms of landing areas etc. The greens are in great shape, and the elevation changes make this course feel different to anything i have played resort wise in Florida.
Great track, great condition, and great service! Well done Reunion...you have made me want to come back! What more can you ask for!
Waldorf Astoria Golf Club
Played On 09/30/2015Service like a private club! Very good experience.
From the moment you pull up and are given the valet parking treatment, you are made to feel like a guest of a private club rather than a paying public fee player.
The service and complimentary valet, water and towels just make you feel that little more special. With its proximity to the resorts of disney world, it is amazing how remote and private you feel with no residential homes or resorts overlooking the course (except 16th).
The course is a great layout. Some real testing holes, but generally playable. When we played the course was wet so certain areas were soggy and a little scruffy, but with the rain they have experienced this was understandable. Greens were in great shape!
Will definitely return, and was a pleasure bringing my parents along for the first time! Well done Waldorf!
TPC Tampa Bay
Played On 09/29/2015Fantastic facilities and experience
First time playing this course and visiting the facility and based on our experience it won't be the last.
From the greeter to the first tee the staff are friendly and informative.
Course was in great shape considering the rain that had fallen that morning. Greens ran true and fast, fairways excellent and tee boxes manicured. Course is playable but if you miss the fairway or greens then you are suitably punished.
The clubhouse and facilities are fantastic. Modern and top notch locker rooms and pro shop. Restaurant looked fantastic although we didn't eat.
Overall one of the best in Tampa bay and with a golfnow hot deal it was tremendous value for money.
King and Bear Golf Course at World Golf Village
Played On 09/15/2014Superb from start to finish!
Played King and Bear for many years and in my experience this place takes a lot of beating! Course itself if a great layout, challenging but fair, and with the different tee options there is a distance to suit all abilities.
Clubhouse and pro shop are excellent. Showers are available also which is a great touch after a warm day on the course. Towels and toiletries are provided. A class touch.
Course itself was in very good condition. One point of note is that the greens have been top dressed with sand, but impressively this had no impact on the speed of greens and became unnoticeable after a couple of holes.
Overall a wonderful course, great setting and friendly staff. What more could you ask for!?
Thanks for the great review! So glad you enjoyed the whole experience and hope to see you again soon!
