Greenhorn Creek Golf Course
Played On 06/11/2021Great course
Well maintained and not too busy. Nice mix of terrain and holes. I have played here 3 times now while staying with friends on Lake Tulloch and I'd do it again!
Lincoln Park Golf Course
Played On 05/19/2018What this course COULD be is the toughest part
This beautiful setting continues to suffer under the City's pathetic leadership and management.
Full of dandelions and clovers, grass on fairways way too long. No signs indicating par or distance, not even any signs warning tourists and walkers that they're on a golf course.
Add that to the new rule of cart path only and there are frustrations with playing here.
However I will periodically come back to play because of the majestic views and relative value of the course. Playing Presidio with a cart, prime time on a Saturday is more than double, ditto with Harding, which is even more.
While the course conditions have more in common with Gleneagles, it's worth playing here still every now and then.
Peacock Gap Golf Club
Played On 04/15/2018Rain has the course looking good, but
The grass in general is too long. The fairways are pretty tall at the moment. I imagine that the recent rain has had it growing like crazy.
Also the tough out of bounds is very difficult to find balls in. Hopefully things shape up a little bit.
Peacock Gap Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2018Good course but often a bad value
I really do like Peacock. It's just not a very good value. 84 bucks with cart during prime time is really quite expensive. Do they throw in a warmup bucket? Nope.
It's been raining a lot, so I know the weather and conditions are out their control. However, when we paid on the Sunday, two thirds of the bunkers were ponds/pools. I've never seen anything like it. We're talking about 2 feet of standing water. Hit the ball in the middle and it wasn't reachable by rake or club to get it out.
This is the type of thing that aggravates me about this course. I pay almost 100 bucks to play and no one can be bothered to get up early with some sump pumps. They didn't even warn us at the pro shop.
You guys owe me a sleeve of balls.
Madison with the drink cart and the older Marshal are the most outgoing employees there and I appreciate them.
Would it kill the pro shop to give you a couple tees or 10 warmup balls for 84 bucks?
Tilden Park Golf Course
Played On 02/10/2018Nice course in beautiful setting
I think all the negative reviews are off base. This was a great experience. It is challenging and I imagine it can get sloppy when it's raining more often.
Pace of play is a bit slow, but it was a busy Saturday morning.
I really enjoyed it here. Staff was really nice. I did see two dead golf carts though and staff had to come out with new ones for the players.
