White/Blue at Dandridge Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/30/2019Some improvements needed
I look forward to playing Dandridge with my brother and friends every time I visit Tn. Here are a few recommendations based on my most recent visit:
1)Put water on the course. If people are stealing water coolers and can be caught, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
2)Don't allow residents who happen to live in the subdivision next to the course to drop in at any hole they want to . They should start at hole #1. While playing recently there was a twosome in front of us that mysteriously turned into a foursome.
3) Re the White course, the recent housing development has almost ruined this one, especially the tee box on hole #4. Much work needs to be done to make this a fair and "playable" hole. This is what greed does for you. It's sad that this course has been marred by allowing new housing to be built.
Huron Meadows
Played On 05/20/2017Good course; slow play.
The greens are in good shape, considering it is early in the season and haven't quite firmed up. My issue with this course is the pace of play. I rarely, if ever see a ranger on this course. Players should be strongly encouraged to play "ready golf". We had the unfortunate experience(not the first time) of getting behind a SLOW foursome who apparently have never heard of ready golf. One player's ball was on the far right side of the fairway; yet he walked all the way over to the far left side to help a fellow payer spend 10+ minutes looking for an errant shot in the heather. Not sure where these people come from, but they need to be reminded of golf etiquette. When I see golf towels hanging from players' belt, almost dragging the ground, as was the case here, I know it's going to be a long day.
