Buy a course planner. Positioning is important on dogleg holes.

Not the easiest course to play but one you will enjoy playing again and again. Just have plenty of balls in your bag.

Played On 09/18/2020Beautiful parkland course.
Played course this time after a dry 6 days. Just a couple of soft areas and slight water damage on a couple of greens. Course in great condition and greens nice and fast. Really enjoy this course when in this condition.

You may not rely on the weather, but I feel you will be able to rely on a warm welcome and a course in beautiful condition. Greens fantastic as were the fairways. Will try to pick a better day next time. There will definitely be a next time.

This golf course meanders through mature woodland in landscaped grounds of a once country estate.
Make sure you are on top of your game, especially off the tee. Take plenty of balls. You might well need them. Average loss 5 balls. Enjoy the round and the countryside.

A very enjoyable round with the help of a buggy on a cold and windy day. This made the course quite a challenge. We were met and made very welcome on arrival with the buggy ready. A nice bit of advice before we set off made the experience memorable. Thank you to all concerned at Kirkcudbright Golf Club.
We shall definitely be returning.

We were glad we booked a buggy at £20. This was our first visit to Kirkcudbright Golf Course. Myself 68 years old playing off 23 and grandson aged 13 playing off 18.
It is a course you would need to play quite a few times to get to know your way round. The score card does not show clearly the course layout. I would suggest investing in a course planner if available. The course is quite hilly with plenty of blind shots to play. It is quite demanding physically
and requires a lot of thought. Great course. Great time. We played Friday afternoon but bar was closed when we came in at 4.oopm. Not that it dampened our enjoyment of playing here. A Hidden Gem.

Played On 05/30/2017I have played quite a few courses in Dumfries and Galloway and this was my first links course. Our round started in good weather and we were adapting our game to suit the course. That was until the wind and rain started and the course became very difficult to play. A great challenge.
