Twice we've played here now, and still an issue with power carts (never enough). Maybe buy a few more as they pay for themselves anyways with the amount of play this course gets. Another HUGE issue is pace of play. Sure, we had a 1:06pm teetime (which would easily be enough time to get in 18 holes), but clearly there is zero being done to get the pace moving earlier in the day. Maybe get your marshalls doing their job maybe??? At 1:06pm (our teetime) there were three foursomes waiting at the first tee....ridiculous.

C'mon guys, get it together. Won't be heading back there anytime soon!

First off, communication between the Proshop and starters was not good. We were told at 10:45am that we would be heading to the first tee for 11:30. We planned our warmup accordingly then headed to the first tee. We were told we’re at least 45 min to an hour away! Not good. Once we were underway we found that on virtually all holes where there was a ridge on the green the pin would be placed right on the ridge. I don’t mind fast greens and believe me these were FAST, but to make the hole impossible to score on, that’s ridiculous. I work on a grounds crew back home in Vancouver, and if I set pins where these were placed I’d be out of a job! C’mon guys, give your head a shake!!! First and last time playing here for sure.

Really enjoyed playing Dove Valley Ranch for the first time. Course was in great shape, but the pace dropped to mega slow the last nine holes. No pushing by a Marshall at all. Generally a very nice facility!

We hadn’t played this course for about three years. While there have been some improvements (new sand in most of the bunkers), and a few of the greens in better shape, that didn’t make up for the exceptionally slow pace of the round. We literally waited on every hole during the almost 5 hr round, and we didn’t see even one marshall during that time to get things moving! We’ve been down here in AZ for three months and this was easily the most disappointing round. I was told there is new management now, so time to take care of the little things guys! Won’t be back anytime soon…

While this course was indeed challenging, it was in great shape! Being as we were only a twosome with an early morning start (7:45am), we never saw a group in front or behind us all day! 3hr 40min round…very enjoyable!

While we did enjoy the course and conditions, the pace was brutally slow particularly the last 10-11 holes. We heard from the twosome behind us that there was a tourney two groups ahead of us. We didn't see a Marshall even once during the round which potentially could've tried to hustle up the groups ahead.

My wife and I have played some very decent courses the past 8 days including Encanterra and Seville. While they were very well manicured with great greens, Whirlwind was a far more interesting layout to us. The conditions were perfect and easily the most enjoyable round of our holiday. I had read some reviews stating that the staff at the course were not friendly and that they didn’t care about the customers. Couldn’t have been further from the truth for us! Right from the moment we arrived we were treated very well with a friendly attitude and we even had lunch before the round where the service was outstanding and the food amazing!!!

Nothing negative to say about this course at all!!
