Two Different courses

The front nine were in bad shape, the rough was patchy. A large majority of of the bunkers were under repair, but they were over grown and unsightly. The back nine were gorgeous and after playing the front nine I felt somewhat cheated. I wouldn't play there again, but if they can bring the front nine us to snuff with back it would be a great course. Pace of play was very slow at 4:45 for a twosome.

Response from on 08/04/2017:
Thank you for playing here at Blue Ridge Shadows this past weekend, and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are certainly glad you enjoyed the back 9, and we would hope that you realize we are working very hard to finish the bunker renovation project that we are in the midst of on the front side. The holes that we have not completed (4-7), the sand traps are considered ground under repair, and while they may look a bit unsightly, they should not have any effect on actual play. In terms of pace of play, I see you played on Sunday, which was very busy (171 rounds). Our projected pace of play based on the difficulty of the golf course on a normal day is 4:15 minutes. While we understand that as a twosome you probably could play in less than 4 hours on an average day, that would be almost impossible to do on a day that was as busy as this past Sunday. We hope that at some point down the road you will come back out and give us a try, and check out the improvements that we continue to make on a weekly basis. Again, thank you for playing with us, and thank you for taking the time to give us feedback.

Great value for money and a fun course to play

This course is one that I continue to go back to. The pricing is very reasonable, and the course almost always in good shape. The only issue I have run into is overbooking from time to time. I am a fairly new golfer so the skill level of the course is appropriate. The fairways are wide and the greens are well maintained. I am planning to play again 8/5/17 weather permitting.
