I never write reviews. However, I looked at the scathing assessments of the Ahwatukee CC. I called the club house for some level of encouragement. I was assured it was in “pretty good” shape. Clearly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like slow play, thin, never true ball marked greens, lots of dust, expansive areas of burned up concrete like hard pan, rutted rough areas, damaged cart paths, this goat park is for you. It is very apparent there not been any kind of upgrade or modernization done to this track since it opened on 1974. It needs to be shut down and have a comprehensive course and club house renovation. No matter how cheap, say no and save your money. In 40 years of playing golf, I’m not sure I have ever seen such a pathetic excuse for a golf course. Very sad.
