Played On 06/16/2019Father's Day - Out of Carts - Horrible Experience
My buddy made our tee time several days before our outing on Sunday June 16 (Father's Day). We got to the course at 9:30 with a tee time of 9:52 and paid our fees. Upon check-in, we were told that the course was out of carts and that it would be 25 minutes and our cart was on the 17th hole. Since that would have only put us 5 minutes later than our tee time we agree and proceeded with patience. At 10:10, we still didn't see any carts and finally at 10:20 we saw a cart on the 18th fairway. We then were told that was not our cart, and in fact the 4-some behind them were not our carts as well. These members were making the turn because they started on the 10th hole and after the 18th hole, they were headed to the 1st hole. We were then told that our cart was on the 16th hole. We finally got our cart at 10:50 (nearly one hour past our scheduled tee time) and we teed off at approximately 11:00. We had family obligations at 3:00 PM on Father's day, so we knew that this was going to be tough to get in all 18. It started to rain and severe lightning on the 16th hole at 2:30 and we decided to leave to make it to our family obligations on time. This was an unfortunate event with minimal planning and execution with cart distribution. I was not offered compensation or a future discount as a result of this experience. The only thing I was offered free balls on the driving range but I was scared that we would lose our place in line waiting waiting for a cart. The course was in good shape, but it's the experience with the carts leaves a bad taste in my mouth and will impact my future course choice and I will be sharing this experience with other family, friends, and neighbors.
