Had a 12:44 tee time 2 days after Christmas, got there at noon and was told they had a 2 hour freeze delay, but fortunately 4 4somes canceled so it shouldn't be too bad - we ended up teeing off (in shorts and short sleeves; so much for the "freeze") around 1:30. We waited at least 5 minutes on every hole to tee off. Finally after 12, we knew we couldn't get all 18 in, so we bailed on 13, 14 & 15 and short cutted to play 16, 17 & 18 in the dark. Didn't see the course marshal once and no offers (free range balls, free hot dog, etc) to compensate for not getting 18 holes in.
Poorly managed, but nice, challenging course.

I hit my 1st ever Hole in One on the par 3 11th Hole. It's listed as 140 yards from the blue tees, but the day we played the pin was up front with a slight left to right wing across the hole. I hit a very light 9 iron slightly into the wind. Ball started left but the wind held it up and my ball bounced right at the front of the green and then dribbled twice before dropping into the cup.
The course is in great shape and very challenging. They have new golf carts and the pace of play was pretty decent - we saw the ranger twice on our round.
I love everything about this course.

Tough review to write. We (10 golfers + 1 rider) played the Ocean 9 and the Vista 9 on Monday. We had 3 tee times - 12:30, 12:40 & 12:50. We paid $2,000 USD for the 10 green fees + $650 for 10 rentals + $45 for 1 single rider! So we're into them for about $2,700. We show up about half hour early and don't see anyone in front of us, yet we can't tee off any earlier. We also can't drive any of the carts to the palapas to get a drink. The girls checking us in were rude, inflexible and have no business being in customer service roles. Additionally, when we finally are cleared to go to the 1st tee, beforehand our entire group of 11 is "lectured" about "all the things that will get us immediately kicked off the course".
The 2 courses we played were great; challenging, in excellent shape, nice layout and beautiful views. The palapas were fantastic; shrimp and carne asada tacos were outstanding. The bartenders and chefs were excellent.
Even though the golf was great and food was good, I won't play this course again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The clubhouse staff is terrible and "all the course rules" will try and suck all the fun from your golf outing.

Challenging course that I haven't played in awhile. We booked a late afternoon tee time (2:20) and was pretty nervous we wouldn't get in a full 18. Pace was a little slow on the front 9 (~2 hrs 20 mins), but hardly any waiting on the back 9 and we got in a full 18 before dark. Great layout with some challenging holes with several that if you miss the fairway, your ball is lost.
We'll be back.

All the recent upgrades at the driving range (shot tracer, shaded hitting area, chairs, cushioned couches, etc) make very Top Golf esque, but cooler! Also love the Bluetooth speakers in the golf carts so you can listen to your music while playing. Course is always in great shape, although they were aerating when we paid last week.
Overall, great course for the money and some of the greens are a great challenge.

I'll never play this course again! One time I booked it they ran out of carts and everyone was waiting for a cart to start their round. More than a couple times that I've had an afternoon tee time I couldn't get 18 holes in because they have a morning delay or the pace had been too slow. I played it one time where the course was so muddy due to over watering that on most he if you got off the cart path you'd get stuck.
I kept booking this course because it was close to my house, cheap and they always have openings. Now I know why.
Never again.

Last time I played this course (almost 2 years ago), I vowed I'd never book it again. Last time they ran out of golf carts and so we had to day our tee time until a golf cart came off the course and they cleaned it - one guy cleaning carts! 45 minute delay getting off. Unfortunately, I waited too late to book our 4somr this week and the only reasonable place we could get in was Kokopeli - HUGE MISTSKE. Against my better judgement I booked a 1:25 tee time (still hoping we could get 18 in). Nope! Showed up at 12:45 for our 1:25 tee time and was informed they are on a 50 minute delay!!! Ahhh! I asked why the delay and he said weather?? It was 38 degrees this morning.
I WILL NEVER book this course again.

Really good course for the money. Rates are usually cheaper here than most comparable east valley courses but the pace of play is starting to get bad. 4 hours for 18 holes used to be the norm but tee time delays and 4.5 hour pace are becoming more common.

The green fees here are very attractive. I love the course layout. Beautiful views, challenging holes with nice greens, BUT...
I've probably played this course a half a dozen times over the last 12 months, but I'm not sure I'll be playing it again anytime soon, if ever. As much as there are so many good things to like about this course, the negatives are too much to overcome. They are ALWAYS at least a half hour behind your scheduled tee time (ALWAYS!) and the course pace of play is almost 4 1/2 hours. Today we had a 12:30 tee time and we finished the 18thni n the dark and you have to have the carts back by 5:15.
Enough. I put up with the 45 min drive from the east valley too many times to get frustrated waiting to tee off when I booked a 4done we'll in advance.

Course is in great shape (as usual). Plus, I love the layout and the challenges of the course. I also think it a great course for the money.
BUT, they are ALWAYS running behind and I think they must run their tee times too close together. I've probably played there over half a dozen times already this year and I don't think I've ever tee'ed off when scheduled. Which usually leads to a much slower pace of play and waiting to hit on most holes or having the group behind you hit into you. Fix this and it's a 5 star course!

Although it's a long drive from West Mesa, I really like playing this course. Hole 2 (elevated tee box to a gorgeous par 3) and hole 3 (right dog leg that if you crush your drive, you easily pitch up for a birdie opportunity); both these 2 holes are my favorites. The course was not is as good a shape as it's been previously and it looks like they've been aireating around the greens and there are alit of mud clumps. Pitch onto the green from your approach and no problem. :-)
