Cinnabar Hills Golf Club - Lake/Canyon
Played On 03/10/2016Best value in the South Bay
All three nines are great in their own right. The best combo to play is mountain to canyon but the lake course is no slouch. If you can snag a tee time before 9am, do so. As with every other course in the South Bay the wind picks up gradually throughout the day and the prevailing wind makes the course play 3-5 strokes higher per side if it get over 20mph.
Fantasy Valley Golf Course
Played On 08/20/2015Good course with elevation changes
The only reason this course was marked 3 stars on conditions was for the previous four or five days it had rained and the fairways and greens were saturated. That being said the greens rolled very true and surprisingly quick with the amount of water they had been exposed to. I would have loved to play under normal conditions because the maximum amount of roll out on any drive was about 5 yards. The two bunkers I did play out of durning the round had great sand and were a fair test.
Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club
Played On 07/02/2015Little slow but course is good value
This course could be a great one if they allowed the greens to firm up and roll a bit more true and they monitored the pace of play. Although it was my first time here, the course was well marked and should not have required the 5+ hours it took to play. On every tee box there was a 3-8 minute wait. Requests to on course PA did nothing.
So close yet so far!
Bull Run Golf Club
Played On 06/11/2015Good course, slow play
Everything about Bull Run was great, except pace of play. By the 5th hole a phone call the pro shop was made to have the marshal come out and move things along. We didn't see the marshal until the 14th.
I would not expect to play a 5+ hour round on any championship course with a 9AM tee time.
Play at your own risk.
The Links At Sleepy Ridge
Played On 05/16/2015Good value
As close to a true links style course as you will find in Utah. The fairways and greens are in good condition and the tee boxes allow for different levels of ability to still have a good time playing.
The only con, the bunkers are not consistent are in need of some fresh sand.
