The River Club
Played On 01/01/2014Good course
Staff took the time to warn me that I would be playing as a single and it might be slow. Four groups let me play through and I finished in a little more than three hours.
Pebble Creek Golf Club
Played On 12/28/2013Bad experience
Unfortunately I got paired up with three yokels that had no clue about pace of play. They constantly socialized before hitting each shot. One of them shanked a ball so bad that it hit a clay pot on someone's property putting a hole in the pot. Later, he hit a ball that struck an apartment building. After a 2 hour and 45 minute front nine (no one in front of us for the last four holes), they stopped inside to order and sit down to eat in the bar. I grabbed my clubs and left!!! Club needs some on-course rangers!!!
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 12/27/2013Worth the hour trip
I have always seen this course on Golfnow and seen its top 100 rankings of public courses. I finally made the trek up from my yearly visit to Brandon. The course did not disappoint and it is now on my regular circuit of courses.
Towhee Club
Played On 3/17/2013Nice layout
Course has six par three's and four par five's so it is a par 70 course. Overall, it is a fun track to play with a wide variety of holes. My friend and I were returning home from the RTJ golf trail and this was a nice place to play and would return again someday in the future if we are nearby.
Cider Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/16/2013Great track
After the first six holes, this course takes a drastic change for the better. It has a couple of cool par 3's with elevated tee shots plus a variety of shorter and longer par 4 and par 5's. The only drawback is that even with a gps device, you still need local advice on holes like #10 and #18. It would be helpful if the course had a hole-by-hole guide or advice on the carts.
