World class layout. Very good staff but halfway house closes way too early. Should allow a few walking times each day.

The views are as good as the course. Cut out of old bluffs, the elevation changes are a fun challenge. Good fairways and great, huge greens. Staff is excellent.

Superior layout in pristine Michigan setting. Plenty of challenge to a near-classic links course. Staff is top-notch and bar/restaurant is best in area.

Fun and tricky 18 hole par three course. Great views. Hole layouts provide good challenge with tight approaches and crossing the canal. Greens need maintenance but otherwise a fun round.

Fabulous views provide backdrop for a classic old-school layout. Not overly long but good hole layouts are complemented by the best greens on the North Shore. Excellent value and a fun golf round.

WDR tries hard to be a good course. The positives: the hole layouts are okay if a bit mundane in spots. The par threes are very good. Excellent selection of tee boxes allowing many options for distances. The greens are well above average in layout though they need a touch more maintenance.

The negatives: It is NOT a course for walkers like us. Some tees are quarter miles from the prior green. The overall design takes views of houses into consideration rather than the course itself. THERE IS ALMOST NO DRINKING WATER ON THE COURSE. If you don't stock up, you're out of luck. Pro shop service was good but the Starters had almost no idea what was happening.

Great possibilities for this course but it needs tighter management of customer service.

Was invited to play CF after substantial donation to local charity. Was offered a noon start on Friday. Caddy staff was excellent. Clubhouse staff almost non-existent and the Starter and Rangers were the worst I've ever encountered in 40 years of golf. Noon start time was held off until after 2 PM. No explanation. Certainly no polite conversation. Were told we could go elsewhere if we were unhappy. Course was vastly overloaded causing 5+ hour round. We walked off after 14. Not one person inquired.
