Rouge Park is the best of Detroit

This is a very fun course to play. It has a plenty of very challenging, very fun holes. Hole 8 is a great par 3 100 feet above the tee and 12 will give you quite a challenge. Most of the fairways are wide enough to allow you to miss a shot or two and still keep a decent score.
The course is in good condition. Greens are well maintained as well as the fairways. The tee boxes need a little help and need to be leveled. Rouge Park is the best course in Detroit without question and there is a driving range across the street to get a little practice in before you tee off.
I would also recommend their hamburgers.

Maple Lane - East Course

Very good course to learn the game. More par 3's than usual, with well placed trees to make it a bit more challenging. All and all, a nice little par 69 course.

Maple Lane - North Course

Very fast paced golf course. Fairways were running well, except for a few rough spots that was being worked on. Fairways are wide open, with no water and few bunkers. Trees are the major hazard and can jump out at your ball if you're not straight. Very good course.

I was expecting a regulation course, so I was disappointed to find a mainly par 3 course. The greens where in good condition, but they had little or no fringe. This is a nice course to work on your short game. The fairways were not in the best condition, but with small course, it didn't matter too much. We did not stay to see if they had food, but noone was driving around selling drinks oon the course.

Excellent couse, excellent facilities. Built between a forest so hit 'em straight or bring a few sleeves of balls with you. Your drive is important. There is usually 100 yards of deep rough and/or a valley in between the tee box and the fairway. There are also some weel placed bunkers to watch out for. There are only a few water hazrads.
This is a beautiful, scenic, peaceful course. A deer ran across the fairway on 5, and hawk and turkey feathers could be seen if you looked. Very challenging and fun course and completely worth the time.

This is a good urban course. It has a nice friendly wide open layout. There are few bunkers or hazards, which makes this a great course for learning. It does offer it's challenges however, as there are dog legs and hilld to deal with, but you propbablt won't lose a ball.

This is really bad

This is a horrible course. It's more like playing an extended driving range. It is impossible to tell the difference between the fairway, rough and the green. Speaking of the green, they were in terrible condition. Maple seeds covered the surface and the green itself was more brown than green. It is cheap, about $1 a hole, if you walk.
