Course was terrible

I played 2 of the 4 Ocean Ridge courses this weekend. After playing the first course (Lions Paw) for $70 I thought there was no way the other course could be worse then this goat track, I was wrong. I then played the free range chicken farm also know as (Leopards Chase) for $85. I will never play any of these courses again. The management took advantage of our group of 12 guys for the last time. Do not schedule your golf trip here. Go somewhere else. They advertise well and have a lot of billboards but can’t grow grass. If they do grow it they don’t cut it. The sand traps are full of water and haven’t been raked In weeks. We had a temporary green on one hole and didn’t know until we hit our approaches. They never told us about that when we checked in. I think that they should have made us aware of of that when we checked in. The only thing I rated high was pace of play. This was because no one else wants to waste $85 for playing such a dilapidated course. I hope you all read this and decide to play somewhere else. If Ocean Ridge Plantation continues to on this track they won’t be around in 2 years.

We deeply apologize for the unsatisfactory conditions you experienced on your recent visit and certainly apologize that you were not informed of the one temporary green we are utilizing for a short period. That is unacceptable and we will address that immediately with our front end staff.. We definitely had a rough stretch over the end of summer and early fall period and Leopard's Chase, with their heat sensitive bentgrass greens, was probably hardest hit at that time. Fortunately the cooler weather in recent weeks has helped tremendously and the greens are improving rapidly. There are currently 2 greens at Leopard's that are running behind the others, but we are taking more drastic measures to bring those up to speed as well. They should all be in much better condition very soon. We have been trying to work with any guests who had any issues during their round and hopefully that was the case with your group. If not, I apologize for that as well and ask that you reach back out to us (ask for Bill Long) and we will work with you any way needed to make up for your unsatisfactory experience. Again, we apologize we fell so far short of your expectations this time, but we hope you will give us another opportunity in the future to show our progress and improvement.
