Unlike many of the curses in the Hilton Head area, this course is being maintained at a reasonably good level. The greens were in great condition and the fairways and tees were pretty good. One or two tees were chewed up. The layout is excellent. Staff, including an on course Marshall who kept play moving song. were all nice.

Some nicely designed holes particularly those along the river / marsh. Major drawback was the punched and heavily fertilized greens today. Made half the greens almost unplayable. Tough to find value for money today but I can see that the course can be a good experience other times of the year. Nice staff experience.

Some interesting holes but with the greens punched and sanded, made for a frustrating round. Staff are super friendly and professional.

Played this course midday on Saturday and the Robert Trent Jones layout didn’t not disappoint. 16 and 17 are the two signature holes but the ocean views from the front 9 are impressive and the fairways were in very good condition. The staff were super friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the San Francisco area.

This is a professionally designed golf course that looks like it was badly damaged over an extended period of time. However, the tees, fairways, and greens are look like they are on the mend and the course is also repairing all the lakes / water hazards as well. The greens are large and well designed. Nice elevation changes on some of the holes. Overall, if the greenskeeping staff continue to take the course in the right direction, I will definitely return.
