Whitekirk Golf Club
Played On 10/7/2013Long challenging course for the better player.
Played Whitekirk at a bargain basement price thanks to the massive "Golf Now Saving" but have to say this has got to be one the most demanding golf courses for a bag carrier like myself...
Never again would I carry my clubs around this course...
I'm not the fittest in the land but I manage no problem to carry my clubs around the likes of the braids and longniddry but they don't even touch this course in terms of fitness level required.
So... If visiting for the first time I really would advise hiring a buggy to enjoy this very challenging course to the full...
As for the course itself... It has beautiful views for miles around and you'll be stopping for plenty of breathers to admire these :P believe me.
The course appeared well maintained with lovely but very tight narrow greens...
My only real gripe was the blind holes which caught me out a few times... You definitely need to purchase the course handbook from the shop so as to know the lay of the land a bit better than I did even with my SkyCaddie SGX.
Will I go back?
Yes, but will be hiring a buggy and making sure it's not a ladies medal day as the round was very slow.
