Lake Presidential Golf Club
Played On 10/19/2015Challenging 1st pass
Great course. Winds through a subdivision but houses and out of bounds far enough away to be a non-factor on most holes.
Fairways looked great except for many unprepared divots. Course appears to be well maintained for such a high traffic site. (played on a fall Monday)
Greens rolling about 10. Many steep greens for big breaks but all greens seemed fair and not the least tricky.
Almost every tee shot required some degree of carry to avoid long grass, a ravine, or water. Poor drives punished with one or two extra strokes to recover.
We were the slow (foursome) group on a light day. 4:45 with one play-through (2:45 - 2:00). Fall leaves and glare made seeing the ball, even on the fairway a challenge. The course has many blind shots or hidden hazards. Knowing the course would be a big plus.
Having seen it now would welcome the opportunity to play again.
P.B. Dye Golf Club
Played On 09/28/2015Aerated Greens
As others have said, the course conditions are poor. However the mats are gone and with a tee does it really matter if its grass or dirt beneath?
The sand and bumps on the greens were the source of frustration. There were many greens where a chip would have worked better than a long putt. The greens were running at a 6 or 7 on the Stimp meter but some were even slower and you could not tell until your fifteen foot stroke on a ten foot shot still came up three feet short!!
Still, had a good price for this early afternoon round and no crowd in front or behind.
Thank you for the review! We have made a tremendous amount of agronomical changes in the past month. The recent rains are much needed as the drought we experienced had delayed recovery. We are tirelessly working to have P.B. Dye in prestine condition and we hope you will come back and enjoy a round with us when that becomes the case.
Little Bennett Golf Course
Played On 06/03/2015challenging but fair
Great conditions.
3 hours 50 minutes on a cool Wednesday afternoon.
Plenty of obstacles. No out of bounds from houses lining the course.
LOTS of blind shots. Need a local guide or modern GPS. Super hilly.
Dear Golfer,
Many thanks for taking the time to share your positive words! We hope to see you again at LPGC soon!
