Eagle's Landing
Played On 10/1/2013Great greens
A hidden gem just off of Lake Erie. Although no views of the lake, the winds make the course challenging. Layout is open links style but without any high grasses. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Fairways were average. Certainly a course to add to your list if you're in the Toledo area. The surrounding industrial area does take away from the course a little.
White Pines Golf Course
Played On 9/21/2013Good course, worth the 30 minute drive from Toledo.
The course's name suits it to a tee. All pine trees within the boundaries of the course. Very few (if any) leafy trees on the course. Must be a pleasure to play in the fall. Decent layout, only a few blind shots. The 150 markers boarder each side of the fairway, so it gives to a perspective on where to aim. Greens were pretty fast and in very good shape. Several large waste bunkers on some holes but not really in play unless you had a wayward shot. No trick shots everything is pretty much out in front of you. Average to below average club house. A little bit off the beaten path to find. Paid $25 on GolfNow for a Saturday morning. Well worth it and will play again.
Eagle Rock Golf Club
Played On 9/14/2013Very good new course and very much worth the drive.
Very good layout, excellent greens, a coupe blind or trick shots. Doesn't really have a new course feel, looks and veels very mature. Fastest greens I've seen in a public course this year.
