International Club of Myrtle Beach
Played On 09/16/2023No Driving Range
International Club has sold the driving range area for development. No plans to do anything about a driving range area. Now only has a putting green. If you need a driving range to warm up to play, don’t play here. Course has some interesting holes and was in good condition. Greens were in decent shape and rolled well.
The Dunes At Maui Lani Golf Course
Played On 08/28/2022Sunday Golf
Turns out almost every golf course on Maui aerates greens and possibly fairways in August. The greens at the Dunes had been recently aerated so slow and sometimes bumpy. I would love to play again when greens are in good shape. Upper part of the course (holes #3 through #16) have lots of dramatic holes with elevation changes and views. Need to know where to hit the ball of the tee. Sunday afternoon golf was slow with two families having fun in the two groups ahead. Fairways were in decent shape and the rough sometimes punishing. A good public course for a fair price.
Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/29/2021Wait Until June
This course has been adversely effected by winter and spring rains. The fairways are spotty and not cut. The tee boxes are sometimes non-existent. The greens were just barely starting to grow in. When asked the staff reported that conditions should improve later in the year as the Bermuda grasses grow. The course could be a fun track to play, but needs lots of tlc to improve.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve, and we are working towards getting things up to par. Thank you for playing Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Ford's Colony Country Club - Blackheath Course
Played On 07/08/2018Excellent Challenge
The Blackheath Golf course is an excellent challenge for all levels. There is plenty of target golf and water hazards. The big defense for this course is the greens. They are very sculptured with few flat spots. If you come with your A game working you will score well. The course is generous enough to keep you in bounds, but will penalize errant shots into the rough. Lots of over water shots that are rewarding to the ego. Best to read the very thorough yardage charts handed out with the scorecard. If in doubt, play the white tees, you will still have a challenge.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the changes to our driving range. We appreciate your kind words about our course and greens, and we hope you will still consider playing here in the future.
