Angels Crossing Golf Club
Played On 7/25/2013Dodged the rain
We had a tee time that fell right between two terrible rain storms.
There was standing water on the course which made things a little difficult. All this is NO fault of the course...of course.
I've played Angels Crossing several times and it's a challenging layout. I think that the greens need a little attention. Many areas that were in need of repair.
The course is nice and I would recommend it to all players of all skill levels. Just wish the greens were a little better.....
I will go back again for sure.
White/Red at Eastern Hills Municipal Golf Club
Played On 6/9/2013introduced a friend to Eastern Hills
I live about 4 miles from Eastern Hills and actually play my weekly league there. But my friend that I played with had never been there.
Eastern is a real nice course with many challenging holes. It won't cripple you but it's still a very challenging layout. Greens are in fine shape and the fairways and rough is well maintained.
Terrific professional and a real nice staff round out a very nice place to play.
We played it in just over 3 hours on Sunday afternoon.
Try Eastern Hills. You'll like it.
Yarrow Golf Course
Played On 12/3/2012December golf in Michigan!!
Playing golf in Michigan on Dec. 3rd is a miracle in itself. And playing at Yarrow makes it even better.
Warm (60*) and misty. Course was in excellent condition for this late in the year.
Greens at Yarrow are already challenging and heavy mist made it very hard to judge a putt, but I was playing in December. Who cares??
You must play Yarrow if you live in SW Michigan or just drive in and play one of the best there is.
Stonehedge South Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort
Played On 10/24/2012Beautiful Fall golf at Stonehedge
Stonehedge is a resort course that is a little more expensive to play in high season but with the price I paid at Golf Now it was darn right cheap to play.
Very nice well kept conditions considering that the leaves falling made you think it was snowing. The grounds crew was on top of it and blowing leaves as fast as they could. Fairways were well conditioned and the greens were true also. Many greens had been aerated but that's just a part of late season golf here in Michigan.
Gorgeous, well conditioned course that is worth the trip anytime.
Lake Doster Golf Club
Played On 9/1/2012Need all your shots
A friend was in town from Florida and I wanted him to see a nice course. Lake Doster is known around here as a real nice place with lots of challenges without being overly difficult.
Beautiful day and the course was in great shape considering the awful drought we've had here this summer.
Lake Doster is visually appealing and you might just use every club in your bag. My friend and his buddy were very pleased with the course which was the whole idea.
Will play Lake Doster every year and continue to take guests there.
Friendly staff too...........
