Bear Trace at Tims Ford State Park
Played On 11/16/2017Golden Course in the boonies
This course was well worth the hour plus drive for me and the 3 hours from Atlanta where my Dad drove from. Beautiful course with a wide-open layout and plenty of picturesque views. Will definitely be back hopefully when it warms up a bit!
Hampton Golf Village
Played On 07/14/2016Great shape
For being in north GA, this course is in great shape considering the hilly terrain. Crisp fairways and clean greens, yet they were a little slow. The staff was very friendly here and I can't wait to play it again.

Played On 04/25/2016Red Clay
I hit High Launch clubs and the red clay just made my club slide and hit it fat almost every fairway shot. Decent course. Starter is kinda stiff.
Williams Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/29/2016Out of town
I haven't played a ton of par 3 courses to give this a well-weathered review, but I thought it was an awesome course! I am from Atlanta and I've played about 10 different courses long and short, and this was ranks in the top compared to those. Greens were well manicured (especially for winter time), tee boxes were in good condition, and the pin placement was difficult for some holes but that made it fun. I can't wait to come back and play this course and this is a great course for beginners trying to learn how to strike the ball and approach the green!
Steel Canyon Golf Club
Played On 09/28/2015The hardest part is the rough
The course plays pretty well except for their rough, it's horrible. Hole number 6 plan on losing a ball or two because it is unstoppable. It has a few big hills early but I like the value for the money at this course. I just get really frustrated with some of course conditions from time to time.
Thanks for your comment. You are correct, the rough on the 6th hole did get high last summer. We have a new superintendent and we will keep the rough at a much more normal level going forward. Hope to see you again soon!
Sugar Hill Golf Club
Played On 09/24/2015Tough but fun course!
The starter was right, don't try to kill it! Play it safe on the holes you aren't sure about because there are others you want to go for it. Greens and fairways are well kept. Hills were challenging but still had fun.
Hi Ralph,
Thank you for your review and for playing at Sugar Hill Golf Course! We are glad that you enjoyed the challenege of the course. We hope to you have back again soon!
Ralph3587326,
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. With the recent rains, it has made ball striking a challenge for everyone. We hope you can come back soon when the course is a little bit dried out!
Best regards,
