Chelmsford Golf Course
Played On 08/10/2015Old course
One of the older courses in the Sudbury area and one of the easiest. First thing you notice is how wide the fairways are making it easy off the tee.
Although the course is on the easy side it provides some challenge, however there are a few wholes on the course with trees in the middle of the fairway which should be removed. The work put into the course by the owners is fairly minimal however luckily it does not require that much maintenance as a river runs through the course and keeps the grass well fed when other courses in the city have a difficult time keeping the grass green.
Overall the course offers a good experience and can leave you feeling good about your game. The clubhouse is nothing to call home about and the food is diner quality.

Not a bad course, one of the newer ones in the Sudbury area. Have golfed this course a lot in the last 15 years. The course is fairly challenging as most greens are raised and there are enough dog legs to keep things interesting. Course condition is probably the worst part of the course. The condition is not terrible but not good either and its been this way for many years, I don't believe the course was built in an ideal place as it does not get enough water and is beaten by the elements in the winter which ruin some of the greens.
It certainly has potential to be a nice course but I don't think it will ever reach that potential. The course is worth a play but I wouldn't play it frequently.

After playing every course in Sudbury I would consider this the nicest. It is well maintained and offers a nice mix of different types of holes. It has enough sand on the course with bunkers being well positioned to offer a challenge for any type of golfer.
The pro shop and clubhouse are a little small for this type of course but offers a good experience nonetheless.
