Great layout, nice greens. Lots of water so bring extra balls. Played in 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon. Bottleneck of players on hole 12. Was told this is common. Nice course overall. Would play again.

This was the 5th course I played in the area the week of 10/23 - 10/29 and it was the best by far. Great lay out, great conditions and got a great price. I will come back again and play for sure.

Nice course that I never thought I would play do to the normal prices (I'm a cheap person) but now that you can get deal times I'll play there for sure. Being Dec the fairways have turned brown but because of great course management in the warm seasons they play great. Greens are fastest I've played on in this area in 4 years. Staff was some of the best I've ever dealt with pure professionals in dealing with the public. If you have the chance play here you'll enjoy it for sure.

Hope they still offer the great rates in the spring.

Divide is a good course, friendly staff but rude regulars that feel as if it is their course and no one else should be there. Group behind our 4 some hit into us twice while we were keeping pace with 4 some in front of us and never hit into them.

This is a nice course but it could use more yardage markers as it was not on Garmin or Sky Caddie. There are only 250,200,150 and 100 markers nothing on the sprinkler heads as most courses have. Our round was moving at a normal pace till we reached the 11th hole. The threesome in front of us was waiting for the foursome in front of them to finish a hole before even teeing off. Par 4;s and 5's not just par 3's. Then they would hit 2 or 3 balls each cause they did not like their shots. I called the Pro shop from hole 13 and was told the ranger had gone home for the day but they would send someone out. They sent someone to talk to the threesome behind us but never talked to the threesome in front that was causing the delays. I would play Esplanade again but I would ask if a ranger was working that day.

This is an average public course. It would have been nice not to be pushed to hurry by workers at course on the back 9 because the whole course was being fertilized that day. Would have thought that the course would close for the day to fertilize but their last tee time was at 11 am then they started.

Not worth the ride to get there from Charlotte. Fairways are weeds and rocks. Rough was cut weeks ago. Greens were ok. Course needs lots of work to be average.

This is a great course. For those looking for an easy course go somewhere else. There are few straight to the green shots to be taken here. This is the course I have been looking for the last 8 years for a challenging round.

Course was in very good condition. Greens in great shape. Pace of play slowed on back 9 when our 2 some caught up to the 3 some in front of us because of the 4 some in front of them that was slow as molasses on a winters day (they spent 15 min on #13 par 4). Course is a little far out of the way form Charlotte. Took us 55 min's from Pineville to course. Overall a really good course but the drive is only worth it if you can get a good price.

Ballantyne Hotel Golf Club is not your everyday public course. Start off with excellently maintained practice putting green, practice chipping green and driving range all within steps of each other to loosing up before you head out to the first tee box. There are 2 restrooms on the course located so that they are reached easily after #3,#6,#13 and #15. There is a refreshment stand located after #10 as well as before you head out at #1. Course conditions are the finest around. Well maintained fairways,rough and greens are what truly make a course good and Ballantyne has them all. The only negative about Ballantyne is the cost. But the saying goes "You get what you pay for" and Ballantyne gives you your moneys worth.

One more thing EXCELLENT staff!

While a bit out of the way (hour from Pineville) Edgewater is worth the trip. Greens had been aerated 4 days earlier so they were not smooth, but the that was expected. If the Greens come back like the Tee boxes and Fairways, which were in excellent condition, then I would rate this course a 10.

Regent Park Golf Club is one of the best courses in this area. If it was not for the price I could get on GOLFNOW I would not have played there as it is also one of the higher priced places to play. If you want to play a great course and have the cash this is the place to play.

Played day after big rain storm (and behind 2 4 somes) so it was cart path only which is why it took 4 3/4 hours for our 2 some to play. Greens had been airated but were still in good shape Fast even though wet. I will play this course again for sure.

Course in great shape. Greens were a mix of fast and slow so don't get use to them being one way. Play for our foursome took almost 5 hours do to a foursome of newbies two groups in front of us.
