Rocky River is one of the best courses near Charlotte, NC. The greens are always some of the best in the area and the fairways are good as well. Bunkers have nice sand and are very consistent. Good pace of play and the staff from the cart guys to the head pro are first class. Highly recommend Rocky River as your choice to play.

Great course. Staff is very friendly and they really seem like they appreciate you coming to play their course. Thus course is always in great shape. Very challenging with no 2 holes the same. Zoysia greens are in great condition all year. You will be impressed!

Skybrook has made a big turnaround in the past 3 years. This course is in great shape. The rough was a little too high in places, but i think that was due to the rain the day before. The greens are in above average condition for bent grass this time of year. They putted very true and moderately fast. Pace of play was around 4 and 1/2 hours which is about what to expect on a weekend round. Staff is very friendly and helpful and act like they appreciate you coming to play their course. Food is very good as well. Water coolers on the course were full and about every 3 or 4 holes. I will definitely play this course again soon.

GREENS ARE VERY GOOD. MOST FAIRWAYS HAVE GOOD GRASS IN MOST "LANDING " AREAS. THE ROUGH IS "ROUGH". COULD BE DIRT,CLOVER OR WEEDS--THUS THE DEFINITION OF ROUGH. MOST FAIRWAY BUNKERS NEED A LOT OF WORK WHICH WE PLAYED AS GROUND UNDER REPAIR. GREENSIDE TRAPS WERE RED DIRT AND A LITTLE HARD, BUT NOT THE WORST I'VE PLAYED. YOU CAN TELL THEY ARE DOING SOME WORK TO IMPROVE CONDITIONS. THE BIGGEST GRIPE WE HAD WAS THERE WAS NO WATER COOLERS ON THE COURSE. I MENTIONED IT TO THE STAFF AND HE SAID THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM PLAYERS BRINGING A COOLER WITH WATER. WILL DEFINETELY GO BACK AGAIN.

Course is in great condition. Greens were in good shape but hard to judge speed. Chip shots would run out but putts were slow. They look like they would be very quick, but not the case. They did putt true to break when hit hard enough to get to the hole. Overall great course.

I STOPPED PLAYING EAGLE CHASE ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO BECAUSE THEY SEEMED TO STRUGGLE KEEPING THEIR GREENS IN GOOD SHAPE. WITH THE NEW GREENS, YOU COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER CONDITIONED COURSE FROM TEE TO GREEN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING IT A TRY. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!

the new greens are immaculate. like carpet. only drawback is that they are very firm. you have to get used to your ball rolling out. very fair but challenging course. need some work on the tee boxes, but fairway to green is very good. driving range is mats only until spring according to the cart attendant.
