Every green has ground under repair as they cut about a 4’ ring around each edge and laid new turf which hasn’t even begun to become part of the green. Greens were also aerated at some point but aren’t healing properly. Puts would literally stop in divots that were just full of sand, no grass. Top it all off with a pace of play that pushed our round within 10 minutes of being 5 hours. The cherry on top? They still continue to charge $130 for this absolute dog track with absolutely no notes, disclaimers or announcements that the course is in this condition.
And oh by the way, the GPS limitations on where you can take carts ON THE FAIRWAYS is brutally limiting. I would guess 40% of the course…the actual fairway and cut rough, are inaccessible by cart.
What a dump.

Course was recommended by a local friend. The greens fees here are pretty steep for a public course so we were expecting it to be in spectacular shape. We were sadly disappointed. Let me be more specific...
Tee Boxes:
Green and lush and mown to a correct height. However, several were uneven and worse several were sloped. Basically prepare to start from uneven lie on several tee boxes.
Fairways:
The fairways are fair in generous in outline. Anything good about the fairways stops there. I literally felt like I was in a cow pasture. I don't think they had been but in days. There were several areas under repair...and worse, several that should have been so marked, and weren't. Uneven, bumpy, dissimilar or invasive grasses everywhere. Shame. This course could easily be a Top 25 So. Cal public course if the fairways were in good shape. They weren't even in "fair" shape. They were downright horrible.
Bunkers:
Sand is thin and compacted. Hard to hit true bunker shots here. Play them more like hardpan shots, no splash shots.
Greens:
SUPERB! Great design, wonderful tiered effects on many and true roll on every green we played. Fantastic greens were the saving grace of this course the day we played. Considering everything above it was comforting to know that once you hit the green you were going to be rewarded with consistent speeds and accurate roll.
Amenities:
Range, Pro Shop and 19th hole are all adequate here. Certainly will get all you need out of all three.
Staff:
Friendly, attentive and helpful.
Pace of Play:
Was good. It wasn't fast, but for a public course, it was better than many.

The layout, elevation changes, greens and bunkering at this course make it a really nice. I realize that watering restrictions in the area make it impossible to keep the fairways green. What a shame, because in terms of the course, it's the only real knock. This is a very good little golf course and with several tee selections it should play just right for golfers of all handicaps.
The "issue" here is the pace of play. We had a foursome in front of us that was brutally slow. Granted we were a twosome, so a little of this is to be expected...but nothing like we experienced. We said something to two different marshals and that helped exactly zero, even though our cart showed that we were 18 minutes behind the pace of play by the 6th hole. Extrapolate that out to an extra hour over the length of an entire round if you keep going.
We asked politely to play through. No. Next we asked if they could please count their strokes and enter scores at the next tee box instead of on the green. No. We even hit a couple of long drives (after they were well out the way) just to signal that we we're right on their tail...can we PLEASE play through. No. Finally we just jumped them by hitting a drive on a Par 5 and then picking up and going around them. We had 3 complete holes in front of us with no golfers on them. Finally we caught up to the next group...turns out they were they buddies of the group we jumped. They kindly asked if we'd like to play through since they wanted to be ahead of their friends. "Great" we thought. Then we saw why. Ahead of use were 2 foursomes of ladies who would hit off the tee as foursomes...then "gather" in the fairway and play the rest of the hole (approach, chips, putts) as...ready for this? An eightsome...is that even a word? Spellcheck says no.
Attached to this review is a picture of all 8 of these ladies standing on the green together...just as an example.
Shame. I would play this course all the time. Decent greens fees. Nice facilities. Great layout. But I'd never return to play at the pace of play we experienced.
Sorry.
