The course has the ability to be a great course. It has trees, water, sand, and many elevated greens. The problem is, they don't have the capital it takes to maintain it. The fairway cutters are poor equipment. The green mowers are also in need of repair as the greens are not constantly cut. The staff is excellent, great people. The food is good and the beer is cold! So with all the minuses, the price is great at 57 dollars US. I've played it many time before and I will continue to play it based on bargain green fees!

I've played this course over the last 5 winters we've spent in Puerto Vallarta. For the value you pay on "Golfnow", the price is great. It' not located in PV, it' little north. The cab fee is 10.00 bucks to get there but they have a mini-van that offers free rides back. Great service!
The course itself is well designed. Most golf courses here are expensive because where they are built, on flat land. Moving dirt is not cheap.. This course is located in more "rugged" terrain so it's more natural.

Have played this course several times and it used to be in great shape. New Management has made some cut-backs in course upkeep. Consequently, the course appears to be "unkept". Lots of bare spots possibly caused by low grade products plus lack of management.

On the good side, the rough has been cut shorter than before which speeds up play even for the poor golfers.

This course is touted as a Jack Nicklaus course. If is really is, I doubt Mr. Nicklaus has ever seen it before. It is, was, a total disappointment. I have played many Nicklaus courses before, including Vista Vallarta which is a Nicklaus course and this was way too predictable and boring for a Nicklaus course.
The restrooms were almost nonexistent, The course appears to be too neglected, giving me the feeling they are trying to "Milk it dry".

I'm in the PV hotel zone. From here, it is more cost effective to play a closer course. By the time you pay the course fee and the cab fee, it's not worth the time and travel. On that same point, if the prices were lower for PV hotel zone players, I would play it more and recommend it as well.

Thanks for the survey. I'm here for 5 months a year.. I've played this course every year. It used to be a super course but it needs work. The greens need most work. The fairway grass is also very uneven. I like the track but in it's present condition, no one will play it for the asking price. The present discount prices make it a good value. At that point, I will be back again.

This was a good course. We played the Palmer course on Mon. and Wed. Then we played this course on Friday. The course was in great shape considering the time of year when most courses are in the dormant stage. It has lots of room on either side of the fairways and the greens roll true. What you see is what it is. Now that we have moved to Texas, I will play this course often.
