Par 66. Lots of big carries over water. Select you tees appropriately. Tees, fairways, and greens in good shape.

Course is extraordinarily challenging. Fairway and green contours throughout. May be May before course is in best condition. Pick your tee 1 up from normal. Rough is very penal right now.

Early in the season. Greens are excellent. Fairways are recovering from winter melt. Probably can’t get big mowers to even the fairways. Enjoyed the layout. Elevation changes are key to managing the course

Ratings by Golf Now players had this course as the best in the KC area. While a nice course, it is not the best. 18 holes are compacted into a relatively small area. While there were no true danger areas, many holes were quite close to each other and a person’s slightly errant shot could be a problem. A nice test of golf.

Venetian Bay is prepping for Snowbird season. Extra maintenance is ongoing - not disrupting, but evident. Weirdest part was that the fairway grass was the longest I have ever played on - EVER. It was maintained at a high level. It was uniform throughout the course. Must be keeping it long to prep for winter play.

Limited to 9 holes due to aeration. Should be back up to its normal great conditions in mid-June.

OCN is my favorite golf complex and Crooked Cat is my favorite golf course in Orlando. Monday did not disappoint. Course was in excellent condition and the staff was both friendly and helpful. Unlike the very windy conditions I had at Panther Lake a few days ago, this day had a good breeze, but it was not a problem. This resulted in a 3 hour round, not the 2:45 for 9 holes I had a few days earlier.

OCN is invariably in great shape. this was no exception. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wind was 2-3 clubs for nearly every shot. this caused a major slow down of play. 1st 9 was 2+45. Again, i blame the persistent and strong wind.

Maintenance is OK. Course is demanding due to hazards lining many fairways. Greens were generally fine, although some needed work. Layout has many good variables in distance, line of play, etc.

Not scary hard, but safety scary. Small acreage for 18 holes. Multiple chances to hit someone or get hit. 10,11, and 13 have same cart path around a lake. Good news was elevations changes and different hole designs - not all straight. Had a 11:19 tee time. Showed up at 10:45 and there were 6-8 groups on the tee waiting to play. Part of the problem was the 7 min tee time separation. My group was allowed to go to 10, so we played 9 holes. When we got off 18, there were still multiple groups on 1 tee. Unless you live right there, I would not recommend this course.

I've played this course off and on for over 10 years. It is in the best maintenance condition I've seen. I believe all bunkers have been redone and have new sand, not dirt. I believe most, if not all, tees have been resodded. The greens have always been good. Fairways are grass, not a combination of grass and weeds.

Had never played IRP before and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoy a course where every hole seems different and has its own set of challenges. This course fit that requirement wonderfully. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition for late January. I will definitely be back.

4 plus 45 to play a course maxed out at 5700 yards, par 70. 2-3 groups on a hole. 4 groups on some par 5s.

Play this course in the summer when the snow birds are gone.

In the past, Wedgefield was the worst maintained golf I played on in the Orlando area. However, in early 2017, a new owner committed funds to improve the course. I have not played the course since it started renovations. I am happy to report that the course is much, much improved and worth a visit. Fairways are grassy, most greens are completely grass, bunkers are completely redone and are in fine shape. And this improvement is in spite of the hurricane that devastated many local courses from which recovery is slow.

What I look for in a course layout is a sense that every hole is different. I played this course at about 6000 yards. Surprisingly, there was a lot of up and down hill holes. The name Dunes is quite accurate. Once we get some good solid rains, I think this course will green up and be a true joy and challenge for all golfers. It is not overly difficult since most holes are reasonably open. You pay a price for a poor shot with the bunkering and the waste areas, but losing balls and going OB require a seriously poor shot.

Rio Pinar remains the best maintained golf course on the east side of Orlando. As an older course, it was designed for players walking with short walks from greens to tees. Considering the dryness over the past 6-8 months, the tees, fairways, and greens are in excellent condition - much better than other courses not in the Orlando attractions area.

Nice Course, longish par 3's. Variable par 4 distances. Shortish par 5's. Hazards in play, but avoidable.
