This course nearly always has great greens and rich grass in the fairways. The small greens make approach shots a premium. Elevations invite wind and tough club choices. Deer and mountain views make this a winner. You are greeted at your car to take your clubs and the staff is polite.

Start with grumpy greeting, no starter, tired carts, dirty bathrooms, greens not yet cut, tee boxes not flat and shaggy, ball marks all over greens (presumably from a scramble 2 days ago). We were early off and played front nine in 2 hours. BUT, they had second nine STACKED and hit a painful halt. No staff to hurry the posers not using etiquette.

The design is really unique. Great potential. This is so close to metro ATL that they seem to think that they can offer marginal service and iffy grounds keeping and still stay busy. They may be right and that is wrong- from a service standpoint. The rumors about the course and service and slow play are true.
