Ron Jaworski's RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 07/07/2016Riverwalk
Jaworski has done a great job turning this course around. Everything is in decent shape. The greens need to be rolled so are strangely slow and spongy, but everything else about the course is too quality. It's a bit long for some with the white tees playing over 6500 yards, but I especially like it because there is s lot of risk/reward course management you need to think through. Views of the river and the city of Philadelphia I the distance are great. Practice facilities are still non-existent and the starter got us off about 10 minutes late despite it being a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant is 5 star quality. I'd play here again.
The Architects Golf Club

About equidistant from both NYC and Philly, Architects is a romp through golf history. It gets progressively challenging as you move along to the end of your round. The rough is rough, fairways are often wide and the greens putt true and are in good shape. It's fairly easy to have a good round here but a bit of bad luck could add those extra strokes. Practice facilities are good (although they could give you more balls for the money) and the restaurant and midway bbq stand are decent.
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Pine Glen
Played On 06/29/2016Pune glen good for beginners
Good beginners course or a good warm up for a real round. Decent variation of length with some under 100 yards and a few over 200. I took my niece for her first golf round here and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I then played a round at willow glen at s very economical replay rate. Pu would do it again. (Plus good restaurant and practice facility)

Amazing qulaity from the course to the practice facilities to the pro shop and restaurant. Whenever I am in the San Diego area I try and get at least one tee time here. The course is difficult though. Lots of challenges from elevation changes, cunning hazards and tricky greens. Bring an extra sleeve or two of balls. The different tees lead to vastly different approaches to how you play this course. Try one and then move on to another during your replay and it's like playing different golf courses. The greens are large, but very fast and you need to be careful reading them. I love this place.
Salt Creek Golf Club

Links style course in the hills of sunny CA. Very pretty views and some challenging holes. White tees are great for a beginner and make it pretty easy. Back tees can be s challenge. They have a nice range of tees in the middle too. Greens run true and are challenging. Practice facilities are good and the staff is friendly. Overall a high recommendation.
