Century Pines Golf Club
Played On 06/08/2014A nice challenging course
The course was in pretty good shape considering the winter we had. A couple of greens were rough, but overall they were in fantastic shape. Tight fairways and strategic water and sand traps made this a very enjoyable play. Staff was friendly, starter was a great guy! Only issue was with one marshal, who, although a friendly guy, had a tendency to show up and sit behind you while you were hitting, with his radio turned up to full volume! We heard of green repairs going on half a course away! Finally had to ask him to turn it down after a couple of instances. Overall though, a very nice, challenging course for a reasonable price.
Tyandaga Golf Course
Played On 9/10/2013Course was in pretty good shape for the amount of play it received.
The pace of play was terrible. The marshall tried to speed it up, but too much time spent by group in front looking for balls, or just generally "goofing" around. Should be able to play this course in 3 1/2 hours, took us almost 5 hours to play. On the hottest day of the year to boot! The staff was friendly though, and made you feel welcomed, from the pro shop to the very nice ladies in the clubhouse to the on-course personnel.
Listowel Golf and Country Club - Vintage/Heritage Course
Played On 9/23/2012Great course, excellent value!!
This is a beauty of a course. The choice of 27 holes means you have variety between rounds. Old course features like narrow fairways with mature trees and streams, mix with new course features like open, bigger landing areas and massive greens. An impressive, recently-constructed clubhouse overlooks the course. The people are friendly and the food is good. We play this course often (driving 45 minutes) as it is challenging, reasonably priced and is always in great condition. A must-play hidden gem.
