Casselberry Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2017Restoration underway
Irma's footprint is still hanging around. Hole one is temporarily rerouted and shorted because of FEMA. Lots of large tree debris on hole 6 also shortened from tee boxes. It seems that the all around this little course is improving since taken over by the city of Casselberry. Better Draining is still needed. Very mucky near greens on front 9.
There are still mixes of grass on the fairways especially near the greens for approaching shots. The greens roll better and smoother than they used to. The bunkers are clean and draining better but were still damp in the mid afternoon. There is a temporary tee box on hole one. Your cut short but good to practice an approach shot instead. I think the rates should remain at $10 per play considering some of the inconvenience and cautions taken. Improvements are very positive and it will be nice this winter.

Played On 03/24/2016I'm very thirsty
TLC needed. Front 9 is very dry, sandy and bare from Tee box to green. Back 9 is acceptable but poor conditions. I was reminded of what Rolling Hills and Rock Springs ridge looked like before they shut down. That would be a shame to let this beloved golf course go to pasture. There were some people practicing and staying on holes and leaving multiple balls on the greens while others played thru. Some kids were driving around with no supervision and on hole 10 residents were not moving off the fairway for my tee off. Seems a bit odd that this course is not managed properly. What's up Doc?

Played On 07/02/2015Nice place to get away
I like going out of the way to find a fun course with new challenges. You may find this course more challenging from the back tees. The fairways and greens play true. You may lose some balls in the woods and rough that take too long to look. It has a nice practice facility to warm up on. Always dry conditions being set on higher dryer ground than other courses in the area.

Played On 06/18/2015Bring your own pull cart and water
Nice conditions year around. We like to play here because we grew up here and it's nostalgic. I remember when they used to charge a buck for a pull cart. They did away with warm up area too. Only a putting green ten feet wide. There is cold water on holes 4 and 8. Nice to play this course at dusk or early am. Good for beginners or trying out a new club. No food served just convenience snacks and cold refreshments.
Highland/Grove at Errol Country Club
Played On 06/04/2015Windy and sandy but a fun play
Watch the trees on the right and left sides. Better to hit short and stay on the fairways. Tee boxes need some attention on dry spots for par 3's especially. Dry conditions and some patchy areas that could use attention. Driving at least 200 yards is necessary to reach your green in 2/3 strokes. Take lots to drink because it's getting real hot out there. Expect to score higher than normal.
Thank you so much for your great review! We know we've got some work to do and we appreciate your feedback on course conditions! And you are right, it is HOT out here but we look forward to seeing you again soon!
The Country Club at Deer Run
Played On 04/24/2015Different but interesting layout. Some like it some don't
I like to play this course when it is not saturated with water after a rain or so. Also, there can be some delays on choice times. I try to find the gaps when it is expected to be laid back. I don't like to be rushed or wait in line.
Winter Pines Golf Club
Played On 12/12/2014Always seems busy
This is a neighborhood course and you can expect the locals hanging out. It's a nice ambience for a group or to practice alone walking. They have lots of practice putting area and good chipping too. Because of the traffic one can expect lots of divots. yardage is shorter and pretty straightforward. Just expect to not play at a quick pace.

This is in a low lying area. It contains marshes and wetlands surrounding. When it rains constantly, like it did lately, it takes a good while to recover. This is a fun course with lots of tees to trees hit from. Bring lots of balls unless you are a straight hitter. Sometimes the balls even get swallowed up by tall thick grass. The layout challenges your distance more than it's accuracy. Sprinklers were active on some holes? I enjoy the openness and locality. Friendly staff.
Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 08/25/2014Bumby and dry or very mushy and wet
The scenery is wonderful and it is not overcrowded. The design is challenging because each hole is very different. The course needs attention on repairing concrete cart paths. My cart's steering was loose and hard to steer because of this. Most of the greens are in good shape. First/second cut rough is very dense and swallows up your ball completely. Too high for this type of grass. Needs shortening to make this course more playable for everyone. No reaching the green if you are off. Sand is okay, tee boxes can use attention. You have to be very careful around the tall grass because it is too thick to see potholes and it will shake you up pretty good. Cold drinking water coolers along the way makes up for the bumpy ride.

Played On 07/18/2014Worth the drive
It was a distance from my house. It's nice and dry during the wet season. The layout is a lot of fun for intermediate players. It's just enough challenge from the back tees. White tees are just right for the average player. Mobile home community course fit for seniors and pridefully kept up. Has an open and hilly layout. Some holes have surrounding houses. Take extra balls for some not reachable misses. Bathhouses/cold water fountains along the way. Some tee boxes moved up for temporary re sodding.
Casselberry Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2014Improving slowly
It's not a bad place to enjoy rolling the rock. But it can be messy on wet days. It's good for kids, beginners and seniors to hang out. They have a good practice facility for improving putting, chipping and range balls are cheap. The course needs improving around the fairways and fairways themselves need improving on dry spots and divot areas.
Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Played On 11/07/2013Busy and waiting
We were greeted in a Disney friendly manner and they picked us up in the parking lot at arrival. We had to wait at the the tee for the group ahead. The course overall is in good shape. Lots of wind and woods that will rob your ball. Used driver except on par 3's. Most of the day was busy in late am and was still busy. I would play another course that is closer to home and not so expensive. Was a gift otherwise would not have had the experience. GPS is helpful.
Fairways Country Club
Played On 10/17/2013Price spike
I haven't been back since they elevated their costs per round. I used to play on the same conditioned course for alot less. I enjoyed the drive out there because it was not too busy and the value was good. Mobile home courses are generally the same. This one needed lots of attention and got it over time. It is not as pleasant but clean as you would expect. There are better courses for the same value that are closer to home. Good luck.

Played On 9/25/2013Conserving my energy
If you are a long hitter off the tee then this course will satisfy your challenge. Pins are hard to find at first play but then you will know what is the best strategy after a few plays. It's difficult at first but then when you get to know the lay out becomes fun. Rough is deep and can nest your ball out of site so keep track off the fairways and near bunkers. Greens roll nice and true. Improvement of water control but only if your on the fairway. Lots of natural surroundings rather than residential sites. Busy but lean in the afternoons.
Casselberry Golf Club
Played On 9/5/2013Better than hitting range balls
I paid 5 bucks for 18 holes and cart. They weren't the prettiest holes and the homes weren't impressive either. I don't care how rough a course can be because I love the game in any condition. If you don't mind the heat and a little mud, give it a try. Not a course for wimps but easy enough for beginners. Leave the driver at home and play from the back tees if your above average to make it more challenging.
Fairways Country Club
Played On 11/10/2012Lots of water bring lots of balls. Retirement mobile home community.
It's a fun and relaxing course with 3 par 5's. Not very busy or great scenery. Shorter than normal par 70. Great for boosting your hanicap.
