Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/20/2021Pro Shop Guy's a RICHARD.
The last (2) times I've booked Morgan Creek with Golf Now, the same older white guy at the pro shop desk doesn't have my reservation and makes a fuss about getting me onto the course. Then, there's a tournament full of seniors in front of us that either Golf Now didn't broadcast or the course didn't mention. As nice as this course is, so are many in Roseville with polite, friendly, and professional staff, whose equipment works perfectly with Golf Now reservations. This J-A acts like my business is not appreciated. I'm good. I'll spend money elsewhere--never returning.
The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Orchard Course
Played On 05/08/2021Fairway grass and sand traps weak
The fairway grass was thin and matted down penalizing fairway shots with very tight lies. The traps had less than one inch of sand in them.
A club with this much money should have higher quality grass in the fairways and more sand in the traps.
La Contenta Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2021The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Orchard Course
Played On 05/08/2021Tight lies on fairways
A lot of fairway grass was mowed very low making for tighter lies than necessary. Also the traps had less than an inch of sand in them.
Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/24/2020Fun layout, poor fairways.
Plumas Lake GC is a great layout. Unfortunately, much of the fairways have poor fairway grass density, so second shots in the fairways didn't have the spin other denser turf would afford. The rough is thick. Balls in the rough are sufficiently hidden and challenging shots out. The greens ran well. Certainly, the flat weak turf in the fairways is the weakness here.
Ancil Hoffman Golf Course
Played On 09/18/2020Aerated Greens
Ancil Hoffman has always been one of Sacramento's best courses with huge trees framing all fairways. The greens were aerated, so scoring was not relevant.
Wildhawk Golf Club
Played On 04/04/2019A fun course
Despite the somewhat sloppy course conditions due to all of the rain and the ground being saturated, the course was in pretty good shape, especially the greens, which ran well and were well mowed. I like this course layout. It's a fun course to play, especially at such a low price.
Whitney Oaks Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2018Whitney Oaks Horribly S....L....O....W.
The Whitney Oaks pro shop desk employee (a young Caucasian female) sent my cousin and I out behind 4 very slow and inexperienced golfers. It was a very long round and I won't be back to a golf course where the pro shop is robotic, ignorant and inconsiderate.
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the delay of play during your round. We take single star feedback very serious at our course. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. You are welcome to reach out to our team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Whitney Oaks.
Timber Creek Golf Course - Lakes/Oaks
Played On 06/01/2018Yes to Timber Creek
From tee to green, this course is immaculate. I had zero complaints about anything here - a great golfing experience.
Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 12/14/2017Brentwood GC Creekside & Hillside 9's
Spread out course layout with lengthy drive between some holes throughout. I wouldn't advise walking this course due to the unusual layout. The course was in great shape. The greens were fast and rolled clean. Interesting course. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't played here.
La Contenta Golf Club
Played On 10/24/2017No golf carts available for almost 2 hours.
This course is very hilly and not walkable. Booked an 1108 tee time on GolfNow and arrived at 1030. No golf carts were available for about 90 minutes because the management company that runs La Contenta and other courses sent most of the course's carts to another course, but didn't communicate this with the public in any way.
Never again.
Mare Island Golf Club
Played On 03/01/2017Hidden Gem
Rarely do I come across a course that is as interesting as the Mare Island Golf Club course in Vallejo. This course is built into the hills near the Mare Island Shipyard and is far from the same ole same ole of simple straightaway predictable muni tracks. Do yourself a favor and play one of the more interesting courses anywhere in this area for a steal of a deal on greens fees and cart. You won't regret the drive once you get onto the course. Highly recommend!!!
Thanks so much GHodgens for the great review and feedback. We are pleased to hear you had an awesome time at the course. We hope to see you hit the greens at Mare Island again soon.
Thank you for playing and sharing your review with us.
