University of South Florida Golf Course - The Claw
Played On 01/12/2023Great course for relief from big $ courses in winter
We especially loved the pace (never waited once) and the friendliness of people working there. USF clearly lacks funds to improve conditions, but many greens were decent (but some had some big bad spots). In winter there are few places with reasonable prices, so we found it to be a fun course for the money (& quite challenging) and the doglegs weren't annoying like name 'Claw" might suggest. If you need a budget stretcher mid winter while still getting out to play, this is a good choice.
Legacy Golf Club
Played On 12/14/2022Great course (but pricey)
Really enjoyed our round there. We teed off ahead of their ‘player development groups 2pm onward, & the pace was good, & the course was difficult (for us). Enjoyed a nice fire-made pizza at the clubhouse afterward. Nice splurge day!

Bloomingdale Golfers Club
Played On 11/04/2022Love all but hole #18 (but we'll forgive 'em for that)
Great course with some lovely holes that have only tree views without houses (something we really like). It was in good shape, the pace was nice (uncrowded the day we played), and the holes were challenging & fun. Well, then there's #18 where you make that sharp dogleg left over a rather huge "eco-wasteland" or whatever it's called. Sister course Baytree on the Space Coast has the same sort of hole (its #9) minus the dogleg, & we don't like that hole either. :-) Psychological hurdles. Oh well. .
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 10/18/2021An old standby for us
I’ve probably played Baytree 100 times by now. It has holes I love (e.g. #18) and holes I hate (#9), but through various course owners it has always been reliable for good conditions etc. If it’s full it’s slow due to their tight spacing between tee times, so we try to avoid busy time windows. They do “deals” online which align to less busy time windows.
Sebastian Municipal Golf Course
Played On 11/13/2020Despite some mud after much rain, still a fun place to play
This is the best Municipal course we've ever played, so for the money, it's terrific. And even as just one of our 'regular' favorites, it's a great blend of "enough" space yet "enough" challenge, and definitely "enough" nature (we dislike "housey" courses).
