Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne
Played On 02/19/2018Hurricane damaged
I had so much expectation for this course to be great. The hurricane and sea water have damaged the fairways greatly. It wasn’t as scenic as I’d expected either. The cafe staff were pathetically nonchalant. You are REQUIRED to take and pay for a caddie. I’ve never heard this at a public course. Overall my experience at this course very disappointing.
On the positive side, the course is very long and challenging to play.
Miami Beach Golf Club

I stayed in Miami Beach for a few days. I played this course twice. Each time was a pleasure. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were immaculate. It’s a wonderful golf course. Now I was able to play at the south Florida resident’s rate. If I had to pay the $200+ out of town rate my review would be the same except a much lower rate for “value.” This is a $70-$80 course not $200.
Royal/Sabal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/15/2018Just An Average Golf Course
In visiting Miami Beach, I searched google for a great course to play. This course came up as a top-rated course in the area. It’s a 45 minute drive from Miami Beach. It’s not worth the drive! The fairways are not well maintained. The pace of play, especially for the Royal, was painstakingly slow. The staff was really nice but it seems this course’s heyday has passed.
