Minor complaint about staff: I arrived an hour early (no traffic from the city) for my tee time. The course -- at least the front 9 -- was completely deserted. However, the starter made me wait the full hour until my tee time arrived before letting me tee off. That was rather annoying and is certainly not the norm for other courses. Other than that, no complaints.

I really like this course and wish fewer people knew about it. That said, the pace of play has gotten very bad because the greens are quick, the course is tough, and many of the golfers are overmatched. I love the fast greens and hope they don't slow them down. The rangers need to start being more proactive with the slower groups.

Treacherous par 3s and some very quirky 5 pars. A really fun track and the only Dye course I know of in the Chicago area. My only complaint is that the sand in the bunkers needs some work.

You need to hit it very straight to enjoy this course, but if you do, it's a ton of fun and playable.

Played here with a buddy of mine and we were berated by 2 players in the foursome behind us for slow play. It was actually incredibly comical given that we were waiting on every shot for the group in front of us and we're both very fast players. One of the 2 golfers who chewed us out was a course staffer. The layout is great, but the whole experience was laughably off-putting.

The course is quite short and the greens are not in good condition. While I would give all other aspects of the course pretty high marks, low handicappers probably should stay away.
