Great course that is worth the drive

First time playing this course and I must say that it is well worth the drive from central SD!!! The staff was extremely courteous and the course was in immaculate shape. A lot of elevation changes throughout the course make for a strategic and creative golf round. The greens rolled fast but true and the fairways and t boxes are in great condition. We teed off @ 1:08 and didn't get to finish our putts on the 18th b/c of darkness, even though pace of play was good, it could've been better regulated. I will be back to play again, with an earlier t time.

Put this course on the bucket list!!!!

Drove up from San Diego to play this course and it was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive and 112 degree heat. The greens had been previously punched but still rolled true. T boxes, fairways and sand traps were all well maintained. Stay away from the rough!!! It will sink your ball about 4 to 6 inches. Overall, very scenic course with excellent customer service in the clubhouse and on the course. Unfortunately, the only downfall of this round was the 19th hole: horrible waitress service and the food was less than average and overpriced. We ordered 2 pizzas at the same time and one came out 25 minutes after ordering, and the next 10 minutes later. Only got visited by the waitress 4 times- not PGA quality service at all!!!

Definetly on the bucket list!!!

Played this course for the first time and was overly satisfied w/the experience!! The staff, course & amenities all lived up to the courses' pricing and experience. I would play again if the prices were to drop a bit but then again, the fee was worth every hard earned penny so if you haven't yet, put this course on the to do list!

Great course to improve your game on!!!

I play this course as a pick me up before I play more challenging courses. This course is perfect for an avid golfer looking to improve their game. The distance on most holes are fairly reachable. The greens were just punched so 1/2 of the green was playable & all the t boxes were good. I played @ sunrise so didn't have to wait on any holes.

Gorgeous course w/great customer service

Great course w/an intermediate challenging layout. The greens were really quick but immaculate. The rough was in pro-tour condition so it really was tough hitting out of it. The bunkers had just been redone & are extremely pure to hit out of-just make sure you don't sink!!! Overall, finished in 4 hours and had a great time.

Good course w/potential to be great!!!

I haven't played this course in over 3 years b/c it was a less than satisfactory course then but it is now a course worth the price and drive. Mostly straight fairways w/soft greens. T boxes could use some work but for the most part the course is good.

Great course w/fast readable greens.

What golf enthusiast doesn't like playing 36 holes in a day @ the same course. I had this pleasure & my 2nd round showed it. Some of the t boxes could use some maintenance and some of the fairways are a bit burnt but the greens were immaculate. A few divot repairs unfixed but the greens rolled true and fast. Pace of play was ideal w/my foursome catching up the twosome in front but not delaying the threesome behind us. I would make the trip from San Diego to play this course again.

2 Great 9's & 1 standard 9

I've played all 3 9's in the past & after this previous round, the 2 to play are the ranch & canyon coarses. I played the meadow & canyon 9's & definetly enjoyed the canyon better b/c of it's upkeep & elevated t boxes. Most of the t boxes on the meadow coarse need some attention; fairways are decent for the time of season & all the greens are in great shape & roll true but a bit slower than the practice greens. The coarse should allow you to play a par 71 & not a 70 if requested.

Great coarse w/scenic views

This coarse has everything to offer for golfers of all skill levels. The staff was friendly but the only downside was there wasn't any cart service out on the greens-possibly b/c it being the 4th of July- still not excuseable & niether was the slow playing fivesome in front of us which did drag out our round. I would recommend this coarse b/c of its layout & would make the hour long drive again.

Great course + great staff + 115 degree heat= great times

Great course for it's price if playing in vegas. I was content w/myself for picking this course after reading many reviews from this & other courses thru golfnow. There are a few holes that have patches of burnt greens but overall, greens were in great shape & rolled true; the rough was playable; fairways were in good shape; actual sand in bunkers & the t boxes were pristine. A few scenic holes w/views of the strip but the real value was the staff w/thier friendliness & attentiveness to its players risking to play in 110+ degree heat meaning that the cart girl(Leigha)-sorry if mispelled, was on top of her game. If in vegas again, i would replay this course.

Found the needle in the haystack!!!

Great hidden treasure that is well worth the 1 hour drive. The course has everything to offer w/a friendly staff & great 19th hole. The course has upkept t boxes, fairways, greens, actual sand in the bunkers & a great pace of play-my group finished in just over 4 hours. This is definetly a course to play again!!

Great course but over priced

This course is in pristine shape w/numerous scenic holes. The only downfall of the round was the slow play & the marshall who was giving golf lessons to the slow players, rather than moving them along. The staff was friendly & informative & this is a course that I will play again.

Great course w/challenging holes

Besides it being a slow pace round, this course offers great scenic views w/pristine course conditions. Both fairways & greens were in great shape & bunkers actually had sand in them-unlike other courses recently played. Overall, it was a great day to play a round @ a great course.

Great scenic course w/some fast greens

The perfect combination between Barona & Tecolote, this course offers rolling fairways w/difficult greens. Accurate fairway shots on all par 5's can guarantee putting for eagle b/c of the short yardage. A couple holes' greens were like putting on a pool table but were @ least readable. Overall, great course for which to I will be returning to better my putting skills.

Great tee boxes & fairways. Pin placement was extremely challenging but rewarding.

The coarse was in great shape & the pace of play was ideal. The greens were well groomed & fairways were just maintenanced so all was good. The pin placements were difficult but were rewarding when executed. Overall, great day w/great golf conditions.

Great greens w/occassional tough pin placements

One of many great courses that gets overlooked b/c of location or toughness. Even though the holes are narrow, the courses greens & fairways were in upkept condition. A few t boxes could use attention but overall great value for condition.

A good course to play when rate of play is enforced

Over 10 months since I played this course & vowed not to return b/c of slow play & poor course conditions but my previous visit changed my perspective. Other than getting lightly rained on throughout the round, the course was in great shape & rate of play was how all courses should be for customer satisfaction.

Great coarse to play when in playing condition

This coarse would be worth playing if it didn't take over 51/2 hours to complete. I have played this coarse numerous times but have been really dissatisfied w/my previous 3 visits. Driving 40+ minutes to play @ a great coarse w/poor customer service & unorganized play scheduling is not worth it & that is what this coarse has provided my last 3 visits. Until I can trust that this coarse has raised its quality service, mt. woodson is a coarse that i wont be visiting anymore.
