The course was in terrific shape, after its renovation. The greens were fast, but in superb shape. The course layout changes were definitely for the better. However, the course still remains very challenging, even with the removal of many trees.

Since we played on a cold, windy day, the course was clear,
making for a quick round. That also made play a bit more
challenging, in addition to the speed of the greens. "The Oaks" continues to be my favorite course in the area, despite the very fast greens this round.

The course was in great shape, but the carts were another problem. My cart sustained a flat tire, just after hearing that another cart had broken down out on the course.

Hilly, narrow fareways make driving a challenge, with many trees lining both sides of the fareways. The greens were difficult to read and very fast. Due to a very slow foursome ahead, play was extremely slow (waitying on every hole). Course management, by a marshal, was lacking

The course has several "over water" holes , including a 140
yard (from the white tees) par 3. However, several of the greens yesterday (10/19) had vast grassless areas. Otherwise, the course was in good shape.

Challenging course, with blind shots, over water tee shots, &
greens that are very difficult to read. Much more enjoyable to play a second time (10/5/12), after initially playing two weeks ago (9/21/12). Knowledge of the course layout is very helpful.
