Since the course was recently purchased, it has been in amazing shape. One of my top 3 all time courses. I absolutely love it.

Have been playing the course since it opened.
But, this particular time the fairways were as wet as I’ve ever seen them, almost unplayable. Some of the tee boxes were in terrible shape. Hopefully the course will dry out this Spring and management will get the course in better shape.
Still love the course and will play for years to come . A true gem

I've played a couple hundred courses in my 50 years and this is without a doubt the nicest course I've ever played
My brother-in-law and 10-year-old son played with me as well and we walked away thinking what an amazing experience. First class in every aspect of the course

It is sad that such a beautiful course suffers from an obvious lack of water due to the drought

Plays much longer than advertised. We played the Blue tees........and it played much longer than 6400 yards. Great facility though.

I golfed with a friend, my 10 year old son rode with me and we were paired up with a couple of young guys, one of which had never played before. It was pretty slow, but we had a great time nonetheless. I have lived in CA for nearly 10 years since moving here from Seattle and have never played this course. I have played dozens of other courses in CA....and I think I have found a new gem. Considering the drought, the course was in very good shape, especially the greens. We will be back!!!

Took my 10 year old. 4 of us finished in about 4 hrs 15 min and didn't feel rushed

Great course which I feel is under rated. Love it. Moved here from Wa St in 2005 and Empire has become one of my favorite courses.

I moved to Northern CA 7 years ago from Seattle WA. Darkhorse was one on the 1st courses I played and fell in love with it immediately. I have played the course dozens of times since moving to Folsom CA...and love it every time I play. I have played roughly 200 courses in my lifetime and Darkhorse is in my top 3.
A wonderful, challenging, yet fair course.
