I have played the Tradition since it opened here in Charlotte back in the 90s. It is a fine layout and all the peripherals - pro shop, staff, range, etc. - are fine. But it is a shame to see the course with greens in such dismal shape.
There is less 'broccoli' in the produce department of the local grocery chain than there is on these greens.
One can understand if limited resources are not spent on fairways, mulch and other items. But if you are going to run a golf course, you should make sure the greens are not the worst aspect of the course.
Fix it or forget it!

Over the past 20 years I have played this course a lot. I have always liked the course. Generally it has been well kept.

Right now it is in pretty poor condition. Yes we have had a lot of rain in Charlotte this summer. But still the entire course needs mowing. The greens are pock marked. The rough is shaggy. The bunkers are washed out. Some greens have significant dead spots.

The course needs some serious attention.

Rocky River is a wonderfully designed course with plenty of variety in the layout. The holes are scenic. The new greens are excellent with plenty enough undulations to offer challenge for all skill levels. The Golf Now cost is a real bargain for such a fine course.
