We found this course to be very good for us mid teen hdcpers. It was easy to follow and in pretty good shape for this early in the season. The greens were in relatively good condition. The fairways were wide enough to be receptive to slightly miss hit tee shots from the forward tees for us 70 year olds.
As the title suggests, there were a few holes, maybe too many, where the group in front was not visible to us on the tee. I had to drive up to locate them and be able to know when it was safe to tee off.
Otherwise, we feel it was a good overall course and would play it again.

We stayed in Williamsburg and usually play only in the immediate area. However, we were intrigued with the descriptions of courses further out. We chose Cypress Point as one to try. Glad we did. Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was very good. Greens were true. Course was easy to navigate. And, most of all, a very good course for our abilities. We played from the white tees which were stretching the max distance we old guys were comfortable with. But, except for only 1 or 2 holes, we felt the distance to be very manageable.
Only drawback we could see was the closeness of the homes sometimes if you spray the ball too far (as we sometimes tend to do).
Also, very good practice areas.
Look forward to playing this course again the next time we are in the area which is planned annually.

First time at this course. Tee layouts make it a good course for any golfer to play. Conditions were excellent.

Played this course before COVID for the first time. Could not wait to come back and play it again. As nice as we remember. Great course for us mid range handicappers. Well laid out. Only problem was that greens had been aerated and sanded. Made putting a little difficult at times. Otherwise, excellent condition. Will return every time we are in the area.

We play this course every time we are in the Williamsburg area. This year the weather has not been the best. However, this course was in better shape than we thought it would be. The staff are always pleasant and accommodating.
The course has a very nice layout and is suited to players of all abilities.

We played this course last year as well. Found it to be very playable although, like most courses last year in October, it was not in the best of shape. We loved the layout and vowed to return. This year the course was in excellent condition which made it as enjoyable to play as we expected. We chose this as one of two courses to replay later in the week because of its few blind shots and accepting greens which were very smooth. We as a group of 15-18 handicappers were able to play at a good speed(4 hours maximum) which was perfect. Will certainly return next year.
