First time playing this course in a while and I wasn't disappointed. I was running late, but the staff was great. Played with a father and son from Canada and just great people. I've played a lot of courses in the Orlando area the last 4 months, and I was surprised with how good of shape it was in compared to other "high end" courses I've played. Cudos to the staff for the condition of the tees, fairways, rough and greens. Shout out to the boys from Ohio and especially my man from Upper Arlington.... you may have owned us in football, but my brothers and I kicked your butt in golf. Thanks for a great day.

Overall, from the time you pull up to drop off your clubs until the time you leave, the people you deal with are excellent. The staff really are the best. Played Panther Lake, always my favorite of the 2. Was a little surprised with the overall condition of the course. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not as good as the multiple other times I've played over the last couple of years. Got a great non resident rate and would not hesitate about playing again.

I've heard there's staff issues, and that may contribute to the shaggy fairways and greens that in places need attention. We putted thru a lot of sand on some of the greens, but overall still a nice layout and I'd recommend playing at a good rate.

Probably one of my favorite Clubs in the Orlando area. Played Crooked Cat today, but enjoy them both. Staff is always excellent and the course was in good shape with greens rolling fairly. My only complaint is the lack of etiquette of other players. Trust me, if it takes you 3 or 4 shots to get to the 150 mark, chances are good you do not have to wait till the green clears. This the group in front of us did on every hole on the back side....every shot. On top of this, when there is a twosome (my son and I) behind your slower than molasses foursome....let them thru. I was 2 over for the day, 2 under on the back, and after 1:45 minute 5 holes....my son and I had had enough and just drove in. Best round of the winter so far and could not finish because of the inconsiderate clowns in front of us. Other than that, another great day at Orange County National.

Was down for The Players Championship, and after reading all the reviews, I decided to play here. The staff were excellent and friendly, and the layout of the course was great, but I'm not sure if people know what excellent conditions are. I thought the course conditions were average, and though the greens were indeed fast, they still seemed a little worn and in places beat up. Had a great time playing with young man from Texas, but the group in front of us were terribly slow and inconsiderate. Every time we got to the tee, they were in the woods (we came to assume looking for balls not their own); around the lakes they would stop and fish for balls (not their own); RIDICULOUS!!!! On the greens they were sooooooo slow...ALL DAY LONG. Trust me: the difference between 7 and 8 on a hole doesn't matter. The ranger came by several times...but never did anything...so we assumed they were members or locals...but this behavior does not belong on a course.

I have been reading the reviews about this course and thought, why not make the drive. I am glad I did. A really unique layout compared to most of the Central Florida courses. The staff was excellent, helpful and very engaging. Now the course: We played the whites at the encouragement of the pro. Glad we did. The up and down hill aspects of the course made it much longer and harder than the yardage, let alone you better be spot on off the tee or good luck, which I wasn't lol. Hence the extremely difficult remark. Layout was beautiful, the scenery around beautiful. You couldn't have asked for a better day and better surroundings. The overall condition of the course? It was ok and the greens were a little slow....but overall a great place and a great day. Last thing, cut down the tree in front of the lake on 17...the hole doesn't need it. :)

I would say this was one of the top 5 courses I have played in Central Florida. I played Panther Lake. Great staff, great layout, really good shape, but what makes this a great course is the excellent and challenging approach shots to every green..and you better hit it in the right spot. I look forward to playing this course again.

I scheduled a tee time based on the reviews and then the pictures I viewed online. Needless to say, I was disappointed. As I played the course I kept thinking what would have prompted such high reviews from a number of people. Don't get me wrong, the design and layout of the course was great, but the overall condition of the course seemed to be in a state of decline thats been going on for quite some time. I would not consider playing again unless there were dramatic changes to the upkeep.

I played here because of several recommendations. Overall, a really nice gold course. The layout was good, the course conditions were good, and the greens were some of the best I have putted in the Orlando area. A nice golf course.

I have played several courses in the last week or so, and this was one of the best I have played, and I would say top 5 of all the courses I have played in Florida. Great layout...beautiful surroundings...really good condition. Just a great place to play.

This is a beautiful place, and I played here last year. I came back because I remember how difficult it was, and wanted to take on the challenge again. Bottom line is you need to be a good player to play here. No matter which tees you choose, you still have to hit it in play, you never have a level lie, the bunkers can be intimidating, and the greens even though large have a lot of slope to them. You need to think your way around on every shot. The greens where still coming in but the putting was ok. If you are looking for a course in the Orlando area to find out just how good your game is, this is the place to do it.

Overall, a great experience. I played here a couple of years ago and first time back. I did not remember how beautiful the setting was. The hills and the trees were so nice. Overall condition of the course was real good...the greens could use a little work but again...overall...what a nice place.

I have played here before in some outings. I do enjoy the course and would recommend playing.

The course is about 5 minutes from where I live in Dublin. The course overall is a very nice track....kind of early for the greens to be rolling well...which they weren't...but overall...always a good experience.

Overall, I would say the layout was really nice. Every hole seemed to have it's own unique challenges. The par 5's were especially long and the course design itself has a lot of character. It was a little narrow for someone like me who was struggling off the tee. Not as good of conditioning as I would like to see in a course that has the potential this one does, but over all...not bad. Not worth the drive from Orlando though.

What an excellent experience and golf course at Grand Cypress. Played the New Course twice and both times the experience and conditions were great. Everyone treats like a member and the facility and conditions are what you would expect from a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. I think the course is best summed up by the Scottish gentleman who played behind me. Standing on the 18th tee I finally asked...what do you think of Jacks tribute to St. Andrews? He said "You see what is in front of you? This is a replica of number 1 and 18 at St Andrews." He went on to say it is "the best representation of a Scottish course that he has played in the United States...with one exception: the greens and the fairways would be harder in Scotland." He wasn't used to softer conditions in the fairways and on the greens. Worth the money to play such a nice course.

From the moment you pull in until you leave you are treated like a member. Staff was excellent. The course itself? There is a reason it is called Tranquilo. Beautiful surroundings...excellent conditions...very peaceful and quiet setting. The course itself was challenging...but fair. A lot of character to the layout with plenty of room on most holes to hit it in the fairway. Par 3's were some of the best...and long too. The greens were huge with a lot of undulation...and very fast so hit it close...lol. I'll be back in January to play again with my sons.

As stated in other reviews, the facility is beautiful...off the charts for a country club. Staff was great and friendly. Now the course. Wow, one of the more difficult courses I have played anywhere. Large but sloping fairways so you rarely had a level lie...greens were huge but well protected with deep bunkers...tough up and down if you missed them...once on the green they were so large and there was so much undulation that you needed to hit it close...and they rolled very fast.

Overall, a beautiful place and great course. If you are looking for a unique Florida course and a challenge, this is the place for you.

This is the second time I have played this course. The first time it ate me for lunch. Played this time with the Director of The Marriott Resort and his dad and played better. He said it will close in March of 2015...so they are starting to let it go...a little. Overall...nice track with great greens.

Totally different day from Mondays round at Rolling Oaks...and course too. Very cool in the morning...but the sky was clear...sun was shinning and the wind was soft. Turned out to be a beautiful day. You just have to play the course...it was awesome. The starter on Pine Barrens...and the ranger...2 awesome men!!! It was so cold at 9am...we talked for a while on the tee. Then I felt like I had the course to myself. So much character...so many challenging drives...holes...greens...but fair. As I played the ranger would come by and we would sit and talk for a few. He always offered tips about what was coming up and where to play the ball. Even the guys in the pro shop were awesome. Great day...great time at a great track!!!
