This course has a great layout, it is reminiscent of NC on the front 9 and a true FL course on the back 9. The conditions have improved over the last year. However the pace of play has been terrible. Several times over the past few months I have waited more than an hour at Rio Pinar to tee off past my booked tee time. When checking in at the pro shop the tell you they are 10 minutes behind. The staff comes up with various excuses that carts are broken or we had a tournament and we are short on carts etc. the true problem id that they overbook and have terrible management. During COVID they renovated the dining room and grille which are still not open. The cart girls are nice but you are lucky to see one once per round, especially on the back 9. This club could be very nice. They just don’t care about the golfer. I would not recommend this course unless you don’t mind waiting more than an hour for your scheduled tee time.

This course was in beautiful condition. The greens were fast and true. They were receptive to fairway iron shots. The course has a nice Florida wetland vibe and the scenery is very picturesque. While the visual layout is open, this course is deceptively narrow. The Waldorf Astoria Golf Club is a great test of golf. The price was right, a great value for the money.

Had to carry bag. No notice the course was not renting pull carts. Would have nice to know. I would have played elsewhere. Especially on a pay now and save.
