I can't believe how slow the pace of play was. Tee off time was 1:30 pm but I got off early because I was single. It was over 6 hours to play this course on a Saturday. There were people taking group pictures on the greens while people were on the fairway waiting to make approach shots. The group in front of us was convinced that the every shot was going to be 300 yards plus so they would wait. Most of the day there were 2 groups waiting on the tees. No marshals insight my playing partners even called the clubhouse but no one came. They eventually just walked off on the 13th hole and left me as a single. Group in from wouldn't let me play through so I ended up joining the group behind for the last 4 holes as a group of "5". The course was beat up terribly which is too bad.

Expecting a slow round for a holiday Monday but played in under 4.5 hours. Hardly waited at all for a shot so it was nice to keep a rhythm. The course was in great shape and the greens were pretty fast considering they had been punched about a week ago but are filling in nicely so the putting was good. Used a couple of rewards so it was a great deal. I'll go back again this season.

The course was in amazing condition. The one thing is that the traps were in terrible condition. Conditions varied within each trap from hard pan to much sand especially the greenside bunkers. Other than the traps and the 45km wind conditions and course would have been perfect. Going back though.

To wet to play so skipped it. Only paid $3. so not really upset about it

Played in 4 hours on the afternoon of a holiday Monday. It was perfect...

The course itself isn't a bad track at all. I have played this course 2 or 3 time this year and every time it's been 5 hours or more per round.

Maybe needs to be marshaled better or maybe more space between tee offs but it's very hard to stay in a rhythm when you have to wait 5 -10 mins per shot.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite course to play "BUT" they really need to marshal this course better..
For the 2nd time this year I have had a 5+hour round of golf at Hockley Valley and once again because of "1" group that seemed to think that they were the only ones on the course. They completely ignored our requests to speed up.
From the 11 tee to the 18th we would have 3 groups waiting on the tee. Playing in the fall you have limited day light to play. The Group behind us couldn't finish. ( we tee'd off at 1:30 pm s/b plenty of time)

When I mentioned this to staff afterwards I was met with a "oh yeah.. I heard it was slow.."

Extremely frustrating. Not going back this year

Starting to show it's use though.
Wish more golfers repaired their divots in the fairways and ball marks on the green. It would prolong the good conditions.

Took a sweet, sweet hot deal for this round but I wouldn't pay the full fair that they are asking on the site. There are better deals to be found

Green are in great shape and easy to read. If anything they were slow.
I wish we called before booking because we were behind a tournament so it was excruciatingly slow (5+hour round)
Only real teeth to this course is the length of some holes. You have to get off the tee to have any chance to score well. Fairly open fairways but the rough was thick in some places

The course in in great shape. Both fairways and greens are in mid season form. Fantastic value with the hot deal. I'll keep my eyes open for another one

This course is amazing, what a gem...
Still new so they are working around the construction. A little confusing starting on the 8th but the quality of this course will make up for it.
They should spend more effort promoting it but right now it's a bit of a secret.
Only 1 hour and 30imns from TO and easy to get to off the 400.
One more thing, there is nothing wrong with hitting an iron off the tee when you play the back nine. Trust me:)

Well worth the drive from Toronto, not that difficult to get to. My GPS watch didn't work ,which is kind of a drag I really could have used it. Course knowledge is everything here.
Extremely humbling. You should be a at least a 12-15 hcp to enjoy this course. Most definitely not for beginners.
I dare you to play it !!!
