This is a $40 course at best. It is chopped up with shabby fairways, greens and tee boxes. Unfortunately, it might be one of the better public courses to play. Sad!

Stonebridge is always a work in progress. Today the course and especially the greens were excellent. Stay out of the locker room. It’s griss!

It is not easy to find a course in Florida that is laid out in a wonderful, private, lush with natural landscaping,and non-condo filled setting. Raptor Bay allows you to pick varied tees that at first seem somewhat short, we played the white blue combo, but the layout and somewhat tough greens give you an exceptional challenge without being too severe. We played with two great regulars who knew the course well and that certainly helped, but honestly, most of the course is laid out before you and the excellent on cart gps gives you an accurate picture of the holes ahead.
Expensive like all Florida courses, but really beautiful and fun to play.

From the moment you drive up and see weeds growing everywhere including through bushes and near the clubhouse, you know somethings wrong. Starter is sour, the pro shop is empty and there’s no one really playing the course. The course is in shambles weeds everywhere, moss growing on the greens, greens in total disrepair, tees with 5 inches of grass. from the moment you drive up and see weeds growing everywhere including through bushes and near the clubhouse you know somethings wrong. There is poison ivy all over the rough, poison oak, rough that’s totally out of control, , sand traps that are empty, sand traps full of rocks, sand traps with grass growing in them. In a nut shell the course is in terrible shape. Such a shame for what used to be a beautiful track. Great Rock is done!

Hard to believe that this is the description of the group ahead of us. They were a foursome of mostly young guys drinking beer the whole day hacking up the course, They slowed down each hole so that we had to wait for 95% of our shots. Round took nearly 5 1/2 hours!. They constantly played loud music on their cart. They constantly yelled, whooped it up and acted inappropriately. . They threw their empty beer bottles and cans and cigarettes on the tees and the course. We alerted one person on the course who took no action. No rangers on the course. Bar area smells moldy. Depressing inside. Always liked Cherry Creek, conditioning a bit low, and won’t be back for a long while. Told the pro inside when we were done. Sad.

This can be a great place to play but we hadn’t been to Cherry Creek for over a year due to slow play. This time we followed a raucous foursome who were playing loud music in their cart, drinking beers continuously and then tossing beer bottles, cans and cigarette and cigar butts on the tees and all over the course. We complained to one person but never saw a ranger and had no cell phone to call into the pro shop. Round took 5 1/2 hours and we actually waited for nearly every single shot.
Inside the clubhouse smells like mold and ad if the toilettes are backed up.

It’s a shame.

This course begins with multiple water hazards which creates stress on your game.

Take extra balls. Unfortunately I was subjected to several rude staff members. Especially one with an injury to his hand who accused me of using range balls because I had thoughtfully picked a few up on the 8th hole that were in the fairway. Very tacky after spending nearly 129 to okay this only average layout. You are better off playing a true golf course nearby with no condo and out of bounds on the fairways. Vista Vallarta.

The course has some positives. The back nine is much nicer than the front. The front is tricked up and runs through many crocodile filled ponds which at first are interesting but then disconcerting. Easy to lose balls if you are not familiar with layout. Staff is awful especially man who tends to carts. He had a bandaged hand. Won’t go back.

Stonebridge was always one of our go to courses because the conditions there could be counted on but recently the course looks very poor. The rough is dry and much dirt and hard pan is in evidence. The fairways were choppy but most of all, the greens which had always been very nice were slow and uneven. We only hope that the management is not spending what they used to on maintenance there. They will lose many players if this continues.

I cannot understand what has happenned here. This course, although not perfect was always a great place to go for a fun layout and superb conditions and especially greens. Now the conditions have deteriorated to just passable and we will not return for a while. Greens need attention guys! There are so many choices on Long Island and right now Stonebridge may be great for the condo owners but for us it will only be a last option. Condo owners I am sure must be disappointed at the current state of the course. .

Eagle Lakes seems to be in financial trouble. With the short season now even shorter this year due to bad weather, the course is very poorly maintained and overused. Awful greens, poor fairways with bad drainage and poor tees combined with extremely slow play and no ranger oversight make this a place to avoid. If you are looking for a silver lining it is this. In an area with extravagant prices for golf this is basically the best you will get. But remember, your get what you pay for. This is very true at Eagle Lakes. If you are a nature lover, then you will have ample time to enjoy the gators and various tropical birds as you wait for EVERY shot.

Very slow play combined with poor conditions from tee to green. Staff is trying but overall experience for the cost is poor.

A superb private course that is now open to the public combines a pretty tough layout with lightning fast greens. Keep the driver in the bag for most holes. Your putting will be tested!!!

Great track to work on various aspects of your game. Some holes are narrow but overall the course plays fairly from the whites and pretty tough from the Blues. Great people are running this place and the greens are typically fairly quick and in good shape. The course overall is always in good shape but is marred by the fact that condos line a few holes (out of bounds stakes-yuck!) but the original aspects of Hauppauge Country Club which is the bones of this club are maintained and somewhat improved upon. Watch out for number ten as a long straight drive here will put you OB! A few holes where you let a big drive loose and go for the green! It's fun.

This is a wonderful town course. It is a great layout for all levels and offers some very scenic views. Unfortunately it is known for having very poor conditioning on the greens. We played recently and the greens were like bad fairways. Have never played on such slow and bumpy greens. They need immediate maintenance. I hope the town is able to keep this great track in playable condition. The golf now pricing makes it a good deal at this time. Great front desk people and starters. CUT THE GREENS... PLEASE!!

Stonebridge is in fact a very challenging course that many pass by on their way out further east. It is tough, long and the greens are tricky. This past week though the overall conditions were poor. Sketchy fairways and aerated greens. When it comes around it is truly worth a try. Really nice people are running this place.
