I grew up playing this course and love its design and it’s fun to play for beginner and intermediates alike. It’s short and fairly unassuming. My foursome tees off around 12:00 pm. I was paired with others I was unfamiliar with but I’d peg one guy and myself as single handicappers with the other two in the 12-15 ballpark.

My only issue with the round is it took us 5 and a half hours to complete with an entire hole open ahead of the group in front of us. I never wish for people to be asked to skip holes because that’s taking away from their experience and what they’d paid for, but I would expect marshals to hold them at a tee box to allow faster groups to get through.

Is this Augusta or Pebble? No of course not. And you’ll see prettier courses at places like Hermitage, Fairfield Glade, Bear Trace, etc. But you won’t find a better combination of good course condition, a track with challenges but ease of play for amateurs, friendly staff, and affordability quite like you will find at The Legacy. I absolutely love this place. If you like a good round of golf at a good course for a fair price, come to Springfield, TN and check out this Ray Floyd design. You won’t be disappointed.

I grew up playing this track, and it’s a fun course for everyone. A touch on the short side so if you’re a longer hitter and lower handicap you might find this not quite as challenging as you may want, but I’d say that’s about the only group who might not get everything out of this course you would want. Friendly staff, even ran into Kenny while there. Will continue to come back.

I play here all the time since it's only about 10 minutes from my house. Love the value for the money and it's one of very few courses that remain in good shape year around. They had just aerated which was kind of a bummer but still a quality course at an outstanding price.
