Irving Golf Club

This course is actually a little gem. It’s not difficult. It’s wide open, no houses around so you won’t be knocking out windows with your bad shots. The fairways are kept cut very short so you’ll get loads of roll on your tee shots. The rough areas are also well kept so you can find your ball fairly easily as long as you don’t go out of bounds. The greens are massive and fast. The tee boxes are a little beat up but not the worst I’ve seen at much more expensive courses in the area. The cart paths are a bit uneven and have some separation in the concrete. The carts are new, fast and brake very well. All in all, I had a great time on this course. It’s not for someone that wants to compete. It’s for the regular Joe weekender who is working on improving their game and having a great time doing it. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys!

My new favorite place to play. I've lived withing 5 miles of this course for 9 years and have yet to play it until yesterday. This course is quite challenging for a once to twice per month golfer such as myself. Several fairways are somewhat blind with doglegs or hills which is great! It makes for an interesting day that requires some thought and strategy. Something I love about this course is that while there are maybe three or four fairways that do have houses adjacent to them, there is still room to breath. I never felt like if I made a bad shot that I was going to hit a house. This is a very pretty course with a lot of mature trees, creeks and water features. The fairways and greens are well maintained if not a little over watered. There were a few spots that were saturated and very muddy both in the fairways and on the tee box.
Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course

I've been playing at Lake Park now for a few years and it's consistently a fun course. I love it for a few reasons.
1. This course is wide open, no houses lining the fairways. So, players at any level between beginner to part time duffer will have fun. I from time to time have a nasty slice and the presence of houses really gets in my head. This course as I said is wide open so that is not an issue here.
2. It's not a super hard course so again great for beginners or to work out the kinks.
3. It's a pretty course located up against Lewisville Lake.
While the course is well maintained, the greens are difficult to judge. They can play super fast and sometimes they can be a bit bumpy. Cup location is sometimes questionable; either close to the front of the green and/or in a spot that has a ring, raised lip all around it.

Beautiful course tucked up near to Eagle Mountain Lake in a brand new sub division. There are a few fairways that are tight with houses on either side and a few that are wide open. Some fairways feature different elevations and trees while others are flat and open. Some of the greens are very small and protected adding to the challenge. The day we played, the greens were choppy so a few four letter words flew freely.
