An inexpensive municipal course, Salinas Fairways boasts beautifully manicured fairways, greens and bunkers. The holes are well laid out (around a general aviation airport) but the real prize is the care that has been given to the course.

Spring Valley is a great course and at this point it is in prime playing condition. The tee boxes and fairways are great. The greens are well manicured but due to drought conditions you may have to put a little more effort into that putt.

San Ramon GC has always been a fun course to play but recently they re-did all of the bunkers - moving some, taking some out- with the resulting bunker play greatly improving the play. It's a great course with the improvements!

Narrow fairways, sidehill lies, deep ravines ... all in the hills above Santa Cruz. This is a well cared for course. The greens are superb but challenging. Bunkers are deep and steep but with real sand and no hard bottoms.
