Ojai Valley Inn
Played On 05/01/2019Fun Course, Great Greens and Challenging
6300-yards and lots of challenges. It’s getable, but beware! The greens don’t feature a ton of break, but they’re true.

So the pro shop and club house is dated, so what. Even the front nine is relatively flavorless, but the back nine is an absolute gem and tough as nails. This place is like Indian Valley nearby without the gimmicks and elevated tee boxes. From the tips at 6800 and 141 slope, it's a track to be challenged. The greens are slick and true. Plenty of water to make things interesting. I cannot believe they're trying to reclaim this place. #SaveSanGeronimo
Corica Park - South Course
Played On 07/06/2018Excellent remodel
Probably one of the best additions to Bay Area golf in a decade. Solid, moderately challenging layout and really well maintained. Doesn't blow your hair back, but solid fun and an awesome range and ample chipping and putting facilities. After the North Course is redone, I think this will be a top spot to visit.

This Pete Dye design was a delight. While not as quintessentially Pete Dye the greens reminded me of every Dye course, fast and they can hard to read if you're anticipating a big breaking putt. What gives this course a sixth star is the incredible mountainous vistas of massive alluvial vans contrasting with this challenging course. The winds today added an additional 10 strokes.
Eagle Vines Golf Club

Greens are pure, course amenities are solid and food at the turn is on point. Course is well maintained, good looks at water, vineyard hazards, elevated greens and tee boxes; Eagle Vines has everything you need for an interesting round of golf.
